Everything went smoothly

(MY EXPERIENCE WITH AMAZON SUPPORT)I had been chatting with Amazon support for an hour trying to get my Fire Stick working again. They gave me the same instructions that I had already followed from the support site. After several failed attempts I was then told that my device was outside the replacement warranty by about a week, meaning I would need to buy a new Fire Stick. I was furious!

I was then asked for the serial number of my device, so I went back thru my orders and discovered that I purchased the protection plan on my 4k stick. I called the number, they located my account and it took a few mins and the rep started my claim. I was worried because I saw so may bad reviews from people saying that they couldn't locate the account the Stick was attached to. But I knew what email my protection plan was under and was able to confirm the serial number and was good to go!

There's no physical product; after you buy this you don't remember what product is covered and you are not provided with a receipt or information. I've purchased this before and a few things I bought on Amazon didn't work after the warranties expired, but I had no way of knowing if they are covered by this protection plan; no way of finding out - your order history simply says Accident Protection Plan.

Beware when you buy a protection plan because you'll be put through the wringer when you go to make a claim. Allstate will have you keep creating new passwords almost every time you go to log in. Some websites you buy them from like Amazon I guess doesn't provide them with proof of your purchase so you have to screenshot your invoice or emailed receipt as proof. Allstate can screw up and provide you with the wrong manufacturers information when you try to make a claim but they say it's still under the original warranty. If you wish to contact their customer service then you will have to google search up a number for them because you will get nowhere with their online help section. Think I'm joking? try it and you'll get caught in an endless loop of clicks. The email on there? Invalid! The live agent? Always shows offline 24/7 even during their business hours. Phone number on the website? Nope!

It was difficult to get to work. Lined up like it says but does not give the directions after that connect when one has Direct T V Finally after no help and two days I had flipped enough and got the right combination.

So if connecting to DTV you must have the remote to your TV Shock , yes where did I put it . with the old remote press input and go to one of HDMI that your tv is. With the fire stick press the home symbol and you should have something on your tv screen. Keep your DTV remote as it works the sound. you can pay for Nexflix or Hulu. To this set up go back to input select DTV go to the HDMI your tv is set on. Then you can turn off the old tv remote and turn on the DTV and go to the channel you want. Good surfing

I love the options, movies, shows, etc. But it constantly powers down and restarts over and over again. My older generation model was worse and really overheated and would just shut down all the time. So I guess this model is better, but still issues that need to be ironed out

I dont like Amazon Prime video in general. I'll be purchasing an apple TV device or a Roku, I've also considered Nvidias new device. Either way, I regret purchasing from Amazon.

We had a problem with our first Fire Stick and in very short order it was tested remotely while I was on the phone and it was confirmed there was a problem. The next day the replacement arrived and we were whole again. Absolutely fantastic service.

I got Fire TV stick yesterday and it's very nice! And I tried find where my insurance for this. And found an Email from Square Trade in the other box. And I just registered my account then my Fire TV stick protected now.
Many people says don't get it but please check your Email all box and register it. Register is very easy in few minutes. I also take a screenshot of order details and uploaded as receipt.

I was looking forward to using the firetvstick 4K but so far I haven't been able to get it to work.
I have it all hooked up & I've followed the directions to hook it up to my TV & turn it on but it doesn't work the way that it should. Every time I've tried to use it I've had to disconnect it from the power source & plug it back in & then it starts but that's as far as it gets. I follow the rest of the directions to get to the next step but it never goes to the next step & I get a Dong note from the TV every time I push the home button
Bottom line? I am very disappointed with my unit as it seems to be a dud & I can't get any help from Amazon!
