The sun sucks

I bought these sleeves to protect my arms from the sun. The material is thin, so it’s keeps you cool. There is no stitching on the arm part, it’s only on the ends. The end of the sleeves don’t leave marks on your arms from the stitching. It’s like spandex material. If you stretch it out to the max you can see through it. I’ll leave a updated review once I use them.

Update a month later one ripped from a tread hanging out. For the work I do it doesn’t mater. These are going to take a beating. The work well. Keep my arms cool. I would recommend these to keep the sun off your arms

Another update it’s been a couple months they all ripped. They worked good for awhile.

Considering that I have never used any product like this before, due to the fact that I have lived in the tropics all my life and do not usually get sunburn, I bought these because I am now starting to feel the effects of too much sun exposure.
I do a lot of driving and my forearms would tingle and burn when in the sun for hours. So instead of changing all my shirts to long sleeved ones I decided to try these.
First I had to figure out which end was the top, so I decided this had to do with the direction of the writing on it.
When you put these on they actually feel cold, and the coldness stays for the entire time you wear them.
If you have large arms like I do, the top will be a rather tight fit but they definitely will not roll down. They helped quite a bit but I think that probably the UV protection diminishes with the degree of stretching of the fabric to fit ones arm. I am sure someone with a smaller arm size than me will have more UV protection from them since they will not have to stretch as much and therefore will be thicker.
The pale bluish colour also works with most of my shirts.
All in, a good buy especially for women with larger than average arms.

Good for thinner women or small men

Have now gone through 5 months with one pair of these used 4x/week and washed about 2x/week. The light blue has faded a bit and the initially firm compression has gone away, but they are not uncomfortable on my 32" long arms with a 10" circumference. Sun screen aspect is very good, but they are not completely opaque, probably at least SPF100. While cycling they are ok upto the low 90sF if you keep moving or for short stops. For longevity I would guess another season's use and then discard. Not bad for ~$4.50 a pair. For people with arms longer than 34" they might be a problem, as though they are stretchy, by the same token the elastic will pull them away from my gloves at the wrist for a 1/8-1/4" gap. I like them. Those with larger arms (ie 15") may notice a lot of compression with new ones as they likely will expand to that diameter. But IME it might be best to look for ones a bit larger for longer/larger arms. These are uni-size. There has been a bit of minor unraveling at the top but not enough to compromise the stitching or hem. I don't think this will be a problem

3 yr report: attached is the grey end of 3d season sleeve next to a blue never used sleeve. Although the lycra is mostly gone on the used sleeve it is still present where needed at the top of the arm. Still has good sun block, as above, at least SPF100, I can see the barest hint of skin darkening on the arm. So first sleeve pair lasted 3 seasons used 15-18x/month April to October every yr washed twice/week.
Kind of dingy after all this but holds up well enough IME. Note that the gray sleeve looked exactly like the blue sleeve in May of 2019, so color fade from sun/washing will occur and after the first year the overall compression will go away.

A lot more impressed than I initially thought I would be. It says it’s 100% UV resistant, I thought that this was streching the truth to a lie simply because the material is superthin and almost see through, however after 5 hours of welding and grinding they have successfully blocked the UV rays from my welding tips so they get a 5 star rating for working as expected. I would give a 10 star rating if it was possible, even though I’m sure the manufacturer didn’t expect someone to use them for welding. I wanted something that will breath well and offer less weight as compared to a normal leather vest and or other thicker arm coverings that can be purchased for this application, and still protect against the UV rays.
I will note that they offer no protection for when the weld splatters, but I mainly tig weld and this isn’t a problem for me most of the time.
Also note I wear this on job sites that have rough surfaces almost every where and they snag on everything so they damaged easily. I’m sure they are intended for running and jogging out side so you don’t have to apply sunscreen as much. However since there are 5 pair and are fairly cheap, this is not a problem I care about.

I waited after a month or so of daily use before posting a review. I've used one pair of sleeves now for the past month, everyday, for both running (daily) and cycling (5-6 times a week). I was skeptical, due to the low price, but these sleeves are great. I've got long, skinny arms (6'1"/158 lb.) and the sleeves stay up and in place, no worries. They cool the skin nicely once you start to sweat. I have no noticeable sun exposure, which is impressive considering the sun's effect here at altitude in Boulder, CO. They're perfectly comfortable to wear, easy to tug on, and easy to tug off. I've rinsed them everyday in the shower and have put them through the washing machine 4x so far (drip dry), and they are as stretch-resilient and form-fitting as the first time I put them on. I've been using sleeves from big name cyclewear brands for years, and they work great as well, but at 7-10 times the cost. It'd be nice to have the multi-pack available in an array of colors versus the limited single color option, but I haven't noticed the lack of ideal color coordination affecting my workouts. Nice job producing an excellent product, Nicole and Matt! I say PURCHASE WITH CONFIDENCE.
