I purchased a Microsoft Surface Laptop DAG-00005 with the ASURION 4 Year Laptop Accident Protection Plan

I had a accident with the Laptop and sent it in for a claim where they told me they could not fix it.

Via a email you would not believe what they sent for replacement options not even close to the original Laptop. Two options was a tablet worth about half of the original laptop. After calling could talk to anybody.

I cannot believe that this warranty is offered .

Called right when computer was received due to not working correctly and wanted tech support, difficult to get to right person and when I finally did I was told the previous person I spoke with didn’t tell them the issue and I would have to go back thru the process again. 45 mins wasted.

Don't bother! I bought a 4 year contract for 129.99 for a laptop. The battery wouldn't hold a charge after one year so I sent it to them to be fixed. Apparently it was beyond repair so I got credit for the laptop on Amazon. I didn't get my sales tax back and I didn't get back the money for the protection plan. So even without the sales tax I feel like I lost the cost of the protection plan. What a waste!

I had a motherboard go bad on my Dell Precision 7710 laptop. I sent the laptop in to have the motherboard replaced. They returned it unrepaired claiming that without the hard drive they would not repair the laptop. Even though the system does not power on at all they expect me to send in the system with all the personal data on it. With all the identity theft going on in the world WHO WHOULD EVER TAKE THAT CHANCE!!!! ASURION claims that under the warrantee you are not allowed to even open the case of your own equipment, add or remove any components. Computers today to keep them from becoming obsolete need to be upgraded with additional RAM or hard drive. Their plan is to restrictive.

Loose screws!

I love the refurbished Dell Latitude I bought last May, but within a few months the touchpad went bad. I contacted Asurion last September, they gave me a service number, but I had to wait a while to give up my beloved laptop. When I contacted them way past the service number expired, no problem, it was still good. I got it back exactly one week later in excellent working condition. EXCEPT- when I picked it up, some of the screws on the back were loose, I mean wobbly-ready-to-fall-out loose; had I lost a screw, it would have been gone gone gone, and pretty much irreplaceable. Plain and simple, it would be 5 stars except for this sloppy error. Nevertheless, the cost for 4 year's coverage is pretty good- that's a long time for a laptop, especially a refurbished one.

They did return the funds to this warranty the following day - thank you ! Regarding the item > I just received the Lenovo IdeaPad3 17.3" HD+ Home and Business Laptop Computer Quad-Core i5-1035G1 16GB RAM 256GB SSD 1TB HDD Windows 10 Home,w/ 9H HDMI Cable it came yesterday on 8/26/2021. This new computer did not work and I called Lenovo as well as the warranty company to ask for help.
They couldn't help me and the Laptop is effective so I asked for a full refund for the warranty and for the laptop as well.
I'm very disappointed that I saved for this computer and warranty which cost me over $900 dollars. The lady on the phone seemed friendly and I requested a full refund but will wait to see what happens and before can provided a better rating .

I didn't write a review of this before, because I had never used it.
Well my laptop that was warrantied through them suddenly had a screen that went black about 2 years after I bought it. It was under a 4-year extended warranty.
It was very easy to call Asurion and arrange for them to send me a box to ship it back to them for repair.

I got the box in just a few days, and sent it to them with the required paperwork. Not much paperwork -just a few questions.

I was surprised that I got it back repaired in only about a week. I can't remember exactly how long it was but it was less than they told me it would be.

It worked perfectly when I got it back, and I have now been using it for a couple of months with no problems. I will continue to use this company to repair any products I buy that could break down within the extended warranty period.
