Maybe I had a bad experience, but I have 2 separate experiences with this company.

The 1st is through Amazon when I bought the plan. No issues. Everything went smooth.

The 2nd is through Asurion. I have mixed reaction to them. To file a claim was simple & easy to do. I was sent a gift card for the purchase amount to replace the item. Everything went perfectly.

The problem I had comes in when I tried inquire about add the replacement item to the plan. Well it took 3-4 days, no problem. The issue I ran into was when I tried to inquire about how to add the item to the plan.

I emailed becuase there is no number to call. It took a while for someone to get back to me & when they did, they told me I needed to contact Amazon for that. Struck me as a little odd, but I didn't thing nothing of it. The representative for Asurion gave me a number that led me to be scammed. I ended being charged for something more than once & had to cancel & replace that card.

I knew it was a scam becuase when I asked the person during sign up would there be an email sent to me that would allow me to cancel whatever I signed up for, they said yes but no email was ever sent. Then I tried calling the number back, I got hung up on & blocked.

So yes I have mixed reviews about this company. On one hand it was great as far as the product, on the hand it's absolutely horrible as far as the customer service.

Ordered this warranty protection plan with a set of headphones for my toddler. I know NOW what this warranty is attached to. In six months, I will have no clue. Why, you ask? Because there is no note, no details, anywhere about what this warranty is attached to. It could be attached to something I ordered at the same time for my other family member. So, how in the world am I supposed to use this warranty if I ever need to? The order # refers to the warranty. There are no notations anywhere showing what it is actually covering. Almost makes one wonder if its a blanket warranty, for all electronics purchased, but for three dollars, that is not possible. There needs to be more details included in the email and/or the description under 'orders'. I've looked everywhere and there is no direction at all anywhere. So, in six months, I will be wondering why I ordered this and what in the world it applies to.

Bought a pair of wireless earbuds for my wife last year. Something told me to buy the warranty as well. And I did. Good thing. They initially held a charge for 3-4 hours. Within 11 months that charge was down to just shy of an hour.
Contact with Asurion was quick & easy. They explained the process by email, sending a return label with it. It took me a couple weeks to mail it back, because I lost the email with the return label. Once that was found, though, it was easy peasy. I dropped my package at the local UPS Store, and within 48 hours I received word my refund was approved & would be sent ASAP. The very next day, PayPal advised me my refund had been issued.
I never gave these warranties much thought before. Due to unprecedented hassles dealing with such organizations in the past. This experience proved to me that Asurion is a viable, affordable, surefire way to protect yourself against items that don’t meet a manufacturer’s claims. I’ll be more apt to avail myself of their services in the future.

I contacted Amazon on March 11th. 2022 about the wireless headphone
I purchased. They informed me that the warranty was still on. I did not have the contact information for Asurion. Amazon put me in contact with Asurion. They were immensely helpful. After taking my information and asking me about the problem concerning the headphones, they immediately told me they would be replaced. They e-mailed me a shipping label to return the damaged headphones.
It was completely stress free from start to finish. The replacement headphones arrived on March 19, 2022. This was a full two days prior to the expected date.
It is great to know that some companies still stand behind their products.

This was worth the purchase with the Bluetooth ear buds I brought. Helped me to feel secure about my purchased, knowing that if the ear buds stopped working I could replace or get refund.
In my situation the buds stopped working correctly 1 year later. I pulled up my order history, found the insurance information, submitted a claim and got a speedy refund. And I will say that I was very surprised how easy the whole process was because of all the past negative reviews. Clearly you have to read the fine print and follow the instructions given for filing a claim. Hopefully this review will help or educate. Truthfully, I am not a fan of these types of insurance but since the quality of the products being made today is b.s. it becomes necessary to buy insurance.

My son bought a $25 pair of foldable Bluetooth headphones and, at my encouragement given his tendency to break things, he also purchased this $4 Asurion insurance policy that covers breakage from normal use, drops, etc. Sure enough, after about nine months, with normal use, a hinge on the headphones broke, making them nusable. To my surprise, it was really easy to file the claim, and we were reimbursed with a gift card for the entire purchase amount immediately upon returning the broken headphones to the UPS store for shipment back to Amazon.

I purchased this protection plan for a pair of bluetooth earbuds. When the buds stopped working all I needed to do was go to their website and file a claim. After chatting with a customer service rep for about 4 minutes my claim was approved and they sent a refund for the product purchase price in the form of an Amazon gift card to my account. It couldn't have been easier!
***if you don't have the original email from the protection plan you just need to submit the Amazon order number from the plan for reference.

I purchased my original tracker in September 2019 and was very happy with it. Did sync it with the app and liked several of the features: steps, sleep, heart rate monitor and alarm. I also purchased the Asurian protection plan at the time, which was also very reasonable. I did have to put a claim in several weeks ago because the strap broke off on the non-charging end of the band. I was apprehensive about going through the claim process but the person I spoke with was professional and friendly and confirmed my purchase, issued a paid label to return my tracker and then issued me a complete refund, since I had already purchased a new one. The whole process was painless. I highly recommend the tracker (although when new, it is difficult to remove the band to charge) and the protection plan; it's well worth the few dollars extra.

But.. I bought it for my Mavic Mini drone. I was impressed with the ease of claim redemption. I told them the truth. Yup I accidentally flew it into wall. Called up and they game me an Amazon electronic gift card for re purchase of the drone in 15 mins! (of course I had to send them the now flatter than normal drone).

Due this ease to redeem if an issue arises, I now buy coverage for many other strategic items. Last one was my pride and joy game pad controller. Life would be bad if I didn't have it and an item that has my hands all over it this often, is certainly to bad. Just I don't know when...

I bought 'Asurion extended warranty' for my purchase of Zihnic Bluetooth Head Phones. When there's problem with my Headset I contacted the Asurion customer service in the online chat. First, they informed me that the Manufacturer's Warranty is still valid and hence advised me to contact the manufacturer. But when I tried to contact the manufacturer (Zihnic) there's no contact info available anywhere on the manufacturer site or on Amazon Product page. When I informed the situation to Asurion customer service associate, he promptly settled the claim considering my difficulty to contact the manufacturer for the warranty. He sent the UPS shipping label to my email immediately then and there for returning the defective product. The moment I dropped the package at a UPS store after 2 days, they credited the amount to my Amazon Gift Card account.
The 'Asurion customer service associate' was so patient and courteous all through, understanding my frustration due to not being able to contact the manufacturer for the warranty. He has gone above and beyond to settle my claim. Claim settlement process was super fast and clean.

I purchased 2-3 year Asurion protection for about $2-3 when I purchased a pair of bluetooth headphones that I was afraid would stop working after the 30-day return window. The headphones actually had been working fine for many months after my purchase so I thought I would never need to make use of the insurance. But then I was washing my hands one day with my headset on when one of the earbuds fell into the sink. Afterwards, the water damage must have damaged the mic because people I spoke to over the phone said they could no longer hear me well when I used the headset for phone calls. I wasn't sure if water damage was covered by my insurance as opposed to a manufacturer defect, but thank goodness it was! The claim took me no time to submit since it was essentially linked up already to the amazon order, and the return process was very quick and simple. No shipping or processing fees were charged (which is how some so-called warranty coverages sneakily charge to make $$), and I got my original purchase cost back very quickly. Insurance is definitely worth it when it comes to electronics at least, imo, and Asurion is excellent in making sure the process is hassle-free and not filled with hidden ways intended to make your claims fail. Thank you!
