I found out only by accident about the questionability and/or reliability of this Warranty Company. I bought a Nikon Camera for my Granddaughter for last Christmas. Well, the first time she and her Mom took it on a hike in the woods they discovered that the battery would not hold a charge. They were able to take only three photos before the batteries gave out!
What I thought would be an easy fix by just notifying Asurion of the matter I discovered (never able to talk to a REAL PERSON of course), that since the problem would be one that might be covered under the Nikon Camera Warranty, I needed to call Nikon! Well, not being a patient person, and knowing how difficult it is attempting to wrangle through the network of a large corporation I instead called Amazon. Being a Prime Member on Amazon, and having placed over 2700 orders on Amazon since the inception of the Prime Membership 'club', and knowing how great Amazon has been in the past with their Customer relations I decided to call them. To make a long story short, Amazon did pull through for me by supplying a brand new camera (with accessories), but I also learned from their CS Rep that when one 'buys' an extended warranty through Asurion, they also need to phone Amazon to report that they have done so; something I did not know until this incident. Once again, Amazon saved the day for us so any and all Kudos should go to them! Thank you!

Claims are difficult to get resolved

I had a Fitbit Ionic, "Great Watch" it just lost power one day and would not accept a charge, I sent it in FOUR times for repair, it took over two month and hours on the phone to finally get a replacement, I bought another Fitbit from Amazon (I have purchased five of these warranty's and never filed a claim until this one) I completely understand and appreciate they need an opportunity to inspect and attempt a repair and if that works GREAT lets move on, but if it cant be repaired I would expect after the second repair attempt they would replace it. These warranties are cheap and I like them, if they needed to charge a few bucks more to provide better service I would still buy them, I bought one on this new replacement Fitbit.

When i purchased my FitBit HR 2, two years ago I also added assurion protection.
Well just the other day my FitBit decided to Die. :(.
It did not charge and it wouldn't power up.
I opened a claim with assurion, 2 minutes later i received a free ups shipping label to send my defective fitbit back.
Opening a claim and submitting it is really easy and straight forward.
Soon after my submission and after i shipped my defective fitbit back i received a gift card from assurion for the Full price of the my old Fitbit.
I couldn't be more satisfied with the purchase and the way Assurion handled my claim.

Update 01/27/21: I am now on my fourth time to send this watch back in for a repair. I regret ever sending it in the first place. After the initial refurbished watch that was sent back to me it has never adequately held a charge. I contacted them after I received the watch back to inform them that the watch was not holding a charge for more than 40 to 48 hours which any Fitbit owner knows is not normal. My original watch would hold a charge for anywhere from 7 to 10 days. I sent the watch in and I assume they only replaced the battery and sent it back to me. Nothing changed. I contacted them again. Sent the watch in. They replaced the battery. Sent it back to me. Nothing changed. Still would not hold a charge. I sent the watch in. They replaced the battery. Sent it back to me. Not only had nothing changed but now the watch will not hold a charge at all. This has been a complete waste of time and I regret ever sending my watch to them in the first place. They do not have knowledge on how to fix anything outside of replacing a battery or giving you a completely refurbished watch. They will not read the information that I provide about the history of the break/repair orders . The customer service is completely ill equipped to answer questions or respond to what has happened. They have spent more on UPS shipping fees then the entire cost of the warranty. Don’t waste your time. Get your warranty through the original manufacturer.

I'd give this company zero stars if I could. This company will find a way to get out of honoringtheir warranty. My watch was damaged, so I sent it to Assurion for a repair. I recieved the watch back with a new screen and new buttons the paper work also said the motherboard was replaced. I attempted to set up the watch with the app, but I kept getting a message halfway through the setup saying, unable to update this device. I sent the watch back to Assurion, waited another week for the watch to come back with the exact same problem. I called and was told that it's now a mechanical issue, so Fitbit should cover it, but Fitbit won't because they took the watch apart and altered it. That warranty was a complete waste of money!!!

This is falsely advertised. It says cracks and scratches are covered from day one. Well 3 months after i had the watch, I got some scratches so i called the company. They said they only cover mechanical problems. I was super disappointed. False advertising. Not a good company. Don’t buy the warranty!!!!!! Zero stars!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey, we learned the hard way of not having this extended warranty on our expensive purchases. When my husband’s BlueParrott began to have mic issues, we contacted Asurion via their website and received an almost immediate response. They emailed me a pre-paid shipping label within a few hours of initializing our claim. They emailed and texted when they received the product and kept us informed of the status regarding their review of working on diagnosing the issue and when waiting on parts they ordered to try and repair it. Once they determined it was unrepairable they emailed and texted with their report and issued us a full refund which we, in turn, ordered another one on Amazon along with another extended warranty through Asurion. I highly recommend you get this coverage when at all possible. It is definitely worth it!
