I am a verified buyer of this product and I am a sane individual that will give positive reviews to products. DO NOT let the high review give you a sense of security with this company. They DO NOT cover power surges. Sure it says on their website they do, but when my TV got hit with a power surge they didn't cover it. I could not make a claim on their website with my plan and television. They gave me the run around.
DO NOT GET A WARRANTY THROUGH THIS COMPANY! I am going with Square Trade since they cover power surges and hopefully will have a better experience with them.

Telling me the serial # from my protected Electronic 42 in Insignia is incorrect

Serial # is clearly pictured here & no chat available, filing a claim is harder than me taking customer service calls. I'll purchase a protection plan from anyone other than this company. Very disappointed in the service I've received.

l still have to pay for repairs or service and you get an amazon electronic gift card if replaced

So I have many protection plans through amazon and the first time I had to use it for my BLU VIVO XI+ - 6.2" Full HD+ Smartphone GSM Unlocked and Verizon Compatible, 128GB+6GB RAM, AI Dual Cameras -Silver due to apps and settings crashing ASURION said I had to give them my credit card before they would try to fix the phone.
Three options. fix, replace or refund; the fix was $10, the replace $30, the refund was for the full $199 but only
as an amazon, an electronic gift card sent to my email.
I do not know how they could fix the phone because of the errors I was getting it seems to be the onboard storage has an issue because a factory reset did not fix the issue.
On the first call to file a claim the agent hug up got an email stating I had canceled the repair which I did not so I had to call back again.
They were fast with sending a prepaid envelope but the phone in the original box just barely fit, it was the next day air with about a week turnaround
I think square trade has better options but have not had to file a claim with them as of yet

After reading the reviews I decided to take the risk and purchase this product. I ended up with a defective tv. Worked for 1 day before the screen just displayed nothing but a color grid. Had to pay a fee to the cable company just to make sure it was the tv. Now I have to pack it back up and haul it to a ups store. Customer service provides no service. Thank goodness Amazon will provide me a refund!

I bought the Asurion warranty 2 years ago for a 43inch TCL TV and the TV started showing black dust looking spots on the left side of the screen. I called Asurion for support and they first told me to ship the TV to them for inspection, but since I didn't have any boxes or protections to ship the TV with, I called them to see if they can send a tech out since I couldn't ship the TV. Then they just refunded me full price of what I paid for the TV so I ended up buying a brand new TV. I was worried that they would force me to ship the TV, but I was surprised that they just paid me back for the TV. Customer service rep was very friendly and was easy to work with and they are willing to work with you, not like other warranty services where they force you to do what they ask. I am very satisfied with Asurion service and I am glad that I bought this extend warranty!

If you want to have insurance on a product, I believe Asurion does work as it says it does. BUT...you need to know a couple of things you will not be reimbursed for. You will not be reimbursed for the taxes paid on the product. If you have a TV or something that cannot just go to the trash and must be recycled and they decide to just give you an Amazon credit instead of repair, you will still need to pay a recycle fee of $25-$30 to get rid of it (unless you find a recycle company that may have special drop offs every once in a while). Kinda frustrating but I'm not sure if there is any insurance that covers those things though.

Read the small print carefully. This warranty will only kick in AFTER the original manufacturers warranty expires. If the original warranty is problematic, you may well have entered the twilight zone.... Other organizations extended warranty begins immediately and wants you to contact them directly should a problem occur.

I purchased the 4-year program had problems 6 months into it with my TV. Bought it through the major online shopping site not mentioning names and it was distributed by not mentioning names a major retailer that sells TV sets.
The warranty company told me for the first year you have to go through the major TV retailer who distributed the TV, the major retail TV distributor said I needed to go through asurion. The major on site company told me I needed to work it out with asurion since it's been 6 months due to being an electronic device. It went nowhere a lot of back and forth.
The TV was for a spare bedroom unplugged it I'll wait a few more months till the first year is up and then go through asurion. Great program that was sarcasm.

I was happily watching tv when suddenly, it went black. Later on it would get a dark blue and on some channels I could hear voices. I followed the instructions on how to contact them and a live person helped me through the process. I go to the post office tomorrow to pick up the box that I'll ship my broken tv back to them, in. After that, I wait and they will ship a working tv back to me. It was worth the money,
My t.v., a reconditioned model, broke again. This time it wasn't getting all the channels. Asurion declared the tv unfixable and refunded my original purchase price. Now, I can go out and buy another tv!
