Much Better Than The Other Reviews Put It Out To Be

After watching the movie Romeo Must took me back into time to listen to some Aaliyah. And, with that, I came across this biopic. Now...the reviews I read ALMOST had me not want to watch...BUT...I did anyways. AND...I'm grateful that I did. If take me back in time to when Aaliyah was just starting out...through her short time here where she grew so much...and then was taken away so quickly. So sad...and heartbreaking... The biopic was worth the watch...if just to relive her time here...

I want my money back.

I wish I could get my money back because this movie is a fraud. I wouldn't even be able to tell it's about Aaliyah if it weren't for the title. There not even any of her actual singing in it... it sounds like a high school talent show with amateur singing. I knew it was bad when it first came out which is why I've never seen it... but boredom got the best of me tonight. I absolutely wasted $4. Sigh.

This movie sucked I'm just going to say it like that. Everytime I try to watch it I was falling asleep on it and I finally finished it wish I didn't the characters they have doesn't look anything close to the real ones not only that the girl who was playing as Aaliyah suck so bad. The whole movie sucked if I could of give this movie no stars I would. Please do not waste your money on this not worth it

It was ok, I understand that this movie was done with good intentions. They wanted to get her story out there, let the people know what a great person, artist, and actor; she was. But this movie could have been so much better. At least some of the smallest issues could have been addressed, like having actors that look similar to some of the real characters. I mean it's a movie, it's about the "visual" effect, if not anything else. The visual similarities could have made the movie a bit more easier to swallow. These folks looked nothing like the real characters, besides the young lady that played Aaliyah. Oh and yeah if it wasn't for her skills, this movie would have been a total flop. Well it was a flop, but she did a great job of projecting her character.

Nothing to brag about here. This movie simply should have not been made. There was only one song from her real music in the movie, the rest of the songs was of the actress singing old songs. The actress was pretty and I think she was a good choice but the actors selected to pay Damond Dash and R. Kelly must have be relatives of the producers because there was no similarities.
