Disappointing

I saw Chris Pine on the talk shows and looked forward to seeing this movie.
Sad to say I was disappointed.
There was absolutely no chemistry between the 2 lead actors.
Frankly the movie was blah.

I really enjoyed this movie; however, the sex scenes were unnecessarily graphic.

if your sick of CGI and bad scripts, this is for you - Fabulous job at casting; chemistry, intense, dynamic and so simple.

What if your lover was the prime suspect?
Verified purchase
This isn't your typical Chris Pine actioner directed by the likes of John Woo, like I was expecting. But it is still a very suspenseful movie. After a dying terrorist reveals there is a mole in the agency, two former lovers must investigate the case and each other in order to find the truth. The lovers are played by Chris Pine and Thandiwe Newton, and the story is told thru their eyes. Both give incredibly strong performances as each one must investigate the other as the traitor. But more than just love is on the line as the Agency has sanctioned the death of the mole to protect its reputation. Someone must die. Will duty or romance win? I also loved Amanda Bergman's rendition of Lovesong, originally by The Cure. What an incredibly talented vocalist!

When Americans write films about other cultures
Verified purchase
Beautiful locations, top directing and solid actors can't save cliché writing and representation of foreign nationalities. As an American of a multi-cultural background, I'd rather see someone of Eastern culture write this story than a German writer backed by American producers who most likely have never even been to the Middle East. Leave the cultures you don't understand alone and let them tell their own stories, Hollywood. You're so woke now, get with the program of showing us your wokeness in this area too.
