Unfortunately, this mouse has such a crappy laser that I still experienced hand/wrist strain. The mouse is very difficult to control when moving at lower speeds that require precision (i.e. highlighting text or selecting a checkbox on a screen). The cursor would frequently jump past the object I was attempting to select on the screen. This would cause me to have to hold a particular grip on the mouse longer than intended to attempt to perform the task.
PROS:
- Cheap
- Ergonomic design
- Wireless
- Decent enough with battery life
CONS:
- Really crappy laser, makes precision very, very bad.
- Poor quality laser lead to hand/wrist strain, thereby negating the ergonomic design.
- This is a nitpick, but the cover on the bottom of the mouse to take out the batteries or store the USB receiver was kind of a pain to take off. If you don't have strong finger nails, you might need a pen or something pointy to pry it off.
Once that was fixed, I started using it. It's definitely ergonomic and comfortable to hold. It's also pretty smooth on larger motions, though it struggles a bit with small movements. I doubt it would be enough to bother the average user, but as someone who uses this mouse a lot for computer drafting (which requires small, precise movements) it can make things more difficult than they need to be. At least the extra buttons are well placed. If you're not the type to use them, you usually won't accidentally hit them. If you are the type to use them, they're close enough that you won't need to contort your hand to reach, and they feel pretty solid.
I've also noticed that this mouse burns through batteries like nobody's business. It's now on its 3rd set of batteries in 5 months. At 2 batteries a pop, that's pretty bad. For reference, I treat this mouse pretty similar to the way I treat my Logitech M510 mouse and the M510 usually goes a year-plus without needing new batteries.
Overall, the bells and whistles are well-designed but some of the basic functionality feels like it's been overlooked. It's a good deal for the price, but if you need a performance mouse this isn't quite it.
But two issues make me decide to return it:
- Mouse delays: once in a while, the mouse will have half-second delays in response. It is a little unpredictable, after shaking the mouse to make sure it response, it will be back to normal...
- Oversensitive: again, once in a while, it would jump all over the place, making you look for the cursor all over the screen.
It is shaped much like Logitech's MX series mice -- the same large, ergonomically-sculpted shape which I find very comfortable (though not especially portable). I just plugged the receiver into the Chromebook and it worked!
Battery life seems good. I've been using it for more than two weeks with 2 rechargeable AA's and I'm still getting 2 out of 3 LEDs on the battery indicator. It tracks predictably and remains connected. Buttons and scroll-wheel operate with the same "feel" as my Logitech mice.
It is "Plug-and-Play" and does not come with any software. Instead, with whichever OS you're using, go your System Settings and make your adjustments for things like pointer speed there.
I'm also using two different AmazonBasics Surge protectors and a USB Hub. I've found them all, as well as this Wireless Mouse, to be well-made, reliable and great value.
I decided to go ahead and try out this mouse and it worked flawlessly right out of the box. It fixed the issue I was having with my other mouse right away.
I don't do any gaming with it as I have a separate mouse at home for that purpose so I can't speak to how well it would function there.
The mouse is very comfortable to hold and it was plug and play so there was no driver to search for.
I can't really speak to battery life as I'm running lithium batteries so I probably won't have to worry about it for quite some time.

The comfort is amazing, quality is amazing.
The only thing is, it is not thattttt responsive, soo frustrating while using design applications.
Plz dont buy this one thinking its comfort. Responsiveness is frustrating...... so frustrating..........

Snugs perfectly in the hand. At first I thought it had issues with accuracy but turned out to be the surface. Make sure you're using it on a mouse pad or a proper desk. Of course doesn't feel that premium as compared to a 5k Logitech mouse. For this price, its great.
Tried on a macbook. Got setup in 5 minutes. None of the extra buttons work but thats ok.

UPDATE: The scroll wheel no longer works at all (feels mechanically broken), and the mouse clicks sporadically don't work. Just total trash.
UPDATE 2: The mouse now has connection issues where it stops responding until I shut it off and turn it back on again. Shopping for a new mouse right now lol.

I imagine amazon bought the patent and started making it themselves.
The only difference between the two is quality.
The black web mouse was very high quality and lasted almost 5 years. I used it LOTS... and I put it through hell.
This amazon knock-off... looks cheap... feels cheap... and most likely won't last six months.
It cost one third as much as the black web mouse... and will last one tenth as long.

Tracks nicely, I don't what people are complaining about. The regular scroll is a bit slow but the fast scroll makes up for it. I am not a gamer, but making presentations all day and it has been very good. I would say go for it, return if it doesn't work for you.
I bought the full size one for 1.9k. Pricey but what to do, all ergonomic mice are super expensive.
