We have replaced ALL the cords in our house and cars with these. They last a long time. They don’t fray. You don’t get that message on your phone “this device isn’t recognized by your phone”, and therefore doesn’t work. My mom tried a cheaper one at the beginning of the year because “look they’re pink and come in a 2 pack for less money”, I warned her. Well it’s not even 8 months later and the 6’ one isn’t charging anymore and the small one in the car you have to jiggle to work.

We have had nothing but great experiences with the Amazon Nylon Wrapped phone cords. They are the only chargers we use anymore. Those crappy cords that come with the iPhone we just keep those in bags for emergency chargers and if it gets left, oh well.

I've bought both the six foot and the ten foot Amazon Basics Lighting cable. The braiding on these cables is thick yet doesn't ruin the flexibility of the cable at all.

I bought the ten foot cable for my fiance who is very tough on her charging cables and so far it's lasted longer than other brands we've tried (both expensive and not expensive).

I'm very happy with both of the Amazon Basics Lighting cables they're durable and they offer some pretty good data transfer speeds too when I use them to back up my iPhone to my PC.

Lint and dirt had built up.

Alas, my joy was short lived as, exactly one month after purchase, the cord stopped working. It gave my iPhone a message that I’ve never seen in my life (warning liquid in lightning connector) when neither my iPhone or charger spent anytime near any liquids. I decided to wait it out, maybe it was just an error, but it never came around. My iPhone is charging just fine with the original cord but this one is RIP. I could return the item, but at this point it’s not even worth the trouble to return it.

The charger works like any other charger. However, the material makes for a very rigid phone charger which in turn makes it tough to charge. Your phone has to be charged in a certain position because the weight and length is strong enough to move your phone and halt the charging process. Sure it is very durable but it's not very practical. I'd say buy a 1 metre long charger made of rubber as opposed to the sturdier Nylon Braid.
