First, can we call it a balance disk instead? I mean, I get that it is literally made out of boards into a board but when I think board it usually has some sort of prefix like snow, skate, water, etc.
Second, I loved my simply board. To death. I picked it up at a Good Will store for $5. The stance was nice and wide, I could waddle to other areas of the office and it was great for finding different ways to fidget and get a little workout. Also it really helped check off some boxes for snowboarding fantasies. I was so thrilled with it that I proselytized any chance I got. That led to some heavier folks trying it on for size. Eventually a little crack in the side became two giant fractures. Was I to blame? Probably. I was a bit rough with it as well, refer to snowboard fantasy above.
So all of that preface was to explain my disappointment when I went to buy a replacement and saw all the other photos of cracked boards.
This brings me to the Wobble Balance Board by Amazon Basics. I've been on it the whole time I've been writing this review. 10 minutes in, I feel the burn. The stance is much narrower than the simply board which means different muscles are getting worked than I'm used to.
If you're used to a balance board then this shouldn't be a hard transition. If this is your first, then definitely a little intimidating.
You can get some twisting action on this, but not nearly as satisfying as the simply board. No waddling from place to place either.
Other than that! I love it and glad to have a fidget device for my standing desk!
