It's lovely, pretty stable, and all-in-all easy to build provided you have a bit of intuition and a little skill. In my experience, the doors did not fit properly at first assembly, but I tried adjusting the tilt of the rollers and now it's spot-on!

My First Review Was WRONG.

When we got down to construction it was easy, but, the finish on the inside, especially the top section was horrible. Looking into the cabinets from a sitting position you could see where the inside top had not been finished or even painted. I had to take both cabinets apart, go to the hardware store to match the paint, then put wood filler on the coarse wood, then primer, then paint (there goes $30.00). The WORSE part was the pressed wood for the back. Unlike many other assemble yourself projects, this one had cardboard, but, in two pieces, TAPED TOGETHER WITH MASKING TAPE. Back down to the hardware store for two sheets of 1/8" finished fir plywood (there goes another $50) then prime, then paint, then assemble. I would not touch anything from this company again.

Although this book case does fit well in our living room and people like it, the quality is not very good. It can easily be damaged during assembly, and in fact it did come with some dents, which I let go of because they are not visible once it's put together. The style and design is very attractive, but they can do a better job with the materials used. I don't regret the purchase, but it's not the best.

LOVE everything about this bookcase! I am in the process of revamping/organizing a bedroom into a work at home/guest room and this is the perfect addition! I despise paying big bucks for prefab furniture so I searched for hours looking for a bookcase with glass doors. This is the best price I could find anywhere. A bit nervous about the quality, as well as assembly after reading lower rated reviews, but I have no complaints! The shipment arrived well before I expected, just a slight ding in the corner of the top and my husband put it together in about an hour..no cussing or throwing things (that's ALWAYS a plus). Originally, I wanted the gray color , but I refuse to pay extra for color, so I went with the white. I am glad I did. I love this piece so much, I want to order several more, but I have no place to put them right now. Once my granddaughter moves out, I will probably get two more for that bedroom. I have made poor purchase choices online over the years, but this is one of a few that I don't regret!

Tiny cabinet, mid-grade quality, poor pricing by Amazon

First, know this... The cabinet is very small. It looks like someone shrunk a proper hutch in the drier. It's "cute," but might limit your functionality. The internal shelves are only 10" deep, so be warned - lots of things will not fit the way you might hope. Second, the cabinet quality is mid-grade. The price is a little on high side for what you get. The casters for the door will almost certainly require adjustment if you want the doors to actually fit flush against the side with no gapping at either the top or bottom. Poor quality control. And the price... well I got screwed by Amazon's constant fluctuations. I bought two of these things and Amazon dropped the price by $30 each - from $279.99 to $246.49. Amazon no longer offers price adjustments, so I'm out $67 plus tax on a cabinet that's disappointing. In the future... I'll reconsider furniture purchases with Amazon.

It took awhile...first package arrived damaged beyond repair. It appeared that someone along the way had attempted to repair the very damaged box with tape. I emailed Amazon, and since it was supplied by a third party, the third party contacted me. They were rather vague about replacement, but then a week later a new package arrived undamaged. It took about two hours to put together. It likely would have been less with some help. I must say that while this is not fine furniture by any stretch it was perfect for a narrow space in my not big bedroom to hold all the books that were stacked up. I would give it five stars but there was some rubbing between the doors that scuffed the doors because one of the doors was a little warped.

Easy to assemble attractive cabinet

Pros:
Very easy to put together. It took my husband and myself one hour to assemble.

The sliding doors move easily and have adjustments on the bottom for a level fit.

The shelves are deep enough for books.

The cabinet is a nice size and is a very attractive addition to our room.

The cabinet is reasonably priced.

Cons:
If you try to remove the stickers that indicated each shelf, it might pull the finish off the shelf.

They provide you with little white circle stickers to go over the indentation where the interior screws are. Plastic white caps would have been a nicer finish to the inside of the cabinet.

The glass has etching on it saying that it is tempered glass.... I would have preferred plain glass and a note or a sticker saying that it was tempered for reference.

Ordered this when company who had augmented our Wellborne kitchen cabinets for $500 9 yrs ago told me they now only take jobs of $50K+ - uhm, NO, we just wanted a 30X50" bookshelf with doors?? Working at leisure it took 2 retired lawyers, both with architecture training but by no means carpenters, about half of a day to put it together perfectly. Instructions are perfect, every part needed was included, nothing came chipped or scratched - and it fits the space and the design of the rest of the room. WIN! We did add about twice as many finish nails on the back, so they're now about every 3" for greater stability. Probably not necessary, but we had the nails so we used them. Took Phillips screwdriver and small light hammer. Super easy. All the colors look great but what our kitchen needs is white, so white it is.

For the type of product this is, this bookcase is perfect. It's easy to assemble (I did it, myself, without help) and it looks lovely when finished (see photo included). One of the sliding doors arrived damaged (the top edge of the door was bent, and as that is how it slides along the top, the door doesn't slide at all once put in, and one of the wheels on the bottom doesn't function properly), but the customer care team for this company is quick and efficient and is sending me out a new door for it, free of charge and without any hassles. It was literally a five-minute phone call, and the person on the other end was very polite and helpful. Overall, I am very satisfied with the product and with the high-quality customer service of this company. Soon, I will have my replacement door, and then it truly WILL be perfect.

Although I decided against using them, this product comes with wall anchors to keep it from tipping forward. I suppose that on thick carpet, something like that might be necessary, but I have low pile carpet, and it stands very stable on my floor. Still, I was impressed that they were included, just in case you might feel that it doesn't stand as stable as you'd like. The materials used for this are sturdy, but certainly not the highest quality you can find anywhere (the shelves are particle-board, and the door wood is soft and should be treated with care and not banged around - being that the doors contain glass panes, I would expect that people wouldn't be banging them around anyway) - but then, what do you expect for $157.00? If it were a $500 or $800 bookcase, I might expect higher quality materials, but the materials for this product are of the value the item costs. I am well-satisfied. It looks lovely in my home, and it will last, and those are the two things that matter to me.

If you look at the photo, at the moment, I have a painting in the bottom shelf and the middle shelf doesn't have a lot of books on it yet. I will be transferring over books from my over-full bedroom bookshelf into this one very soon, though.

Decent Price and Quality

Although the price was decent and the quality of the cabinet good, I only rated it 4 stars b/c of damage straight out of the box. My mistake was not opening the box right away to check, but we were remodeling and have only been able to set up now. Was it the shipper? It had good packing protection surrounding it so I'm not too certain. There was scuffing of the paint on the one side, the back panel was damaged at the bottom as was one of the sides at the bottom along with the glass door panel. See pictures for examples.
On the plus side, the doors were easy to get in place and slide nicely, the directions were fairly easy with a little forethought and all the parts were included. I thought I would be able to put it together by myself, but in all honesty a man should assist with the tightening of all the bolts, screws etc. I'm pretty handy and have always been a dyi gal, but you don't want your cabinet to loosen over time.

I read so many reviews and spent weeks searching for the perfect cabinet to display my teacups and tea. The product came packed very well. I read the instructions and watched videos on the website. I've NEVER put anything like this together. I had to borrow a screwdriver because I don't own any tools! I only had one question at the very beginning of assembling this cabinet. I watched the video and then called customer service. The call was answered right away they were very helpful. Everyone who sees the cabinet can't believe the low price and that I put it together. I'm saving up to purchase another cabinet for more of my grandmother's teacups.
