If could have given 10 stars I would have. Basically funds were at a record low one week and I had to make a few substitutions to save $. The first one was
Switching out Hunts marinara 28oz cans that cost .88 each instead of the big 40 oz jar of Prego. The cheaper sauce worked just as well in my recipes.
Next I picked up our this Arm&Hammer fresh scent laundry detergent-the ginormous container was priced at under 4.00! The result was clean,fresh and stain free clothes. IMO this laundry detergent out performs Tide- and does so at less than half the price. FYI- I love the scent so much that I now use it as an all purpose cleaner. Just mix about 1/4 capful into warm water and use to clean grease caked stove tops,remove dried goo off refrigerator shelves -even use as a stain remover on carpets

I HATE the bottles that have that little pump on one side. They get too messy (the cup has to be cleaned out so it doesn't drip all over the huge detergent bottle) and it's hard to pick up.
This design (just a larger version of a regular sized bottle) works the best for me. I pour it out into the lid, and then close it back up. And A&H detergent keeps everything clean and smelling great! I have never had to use spot cleaners (even with 2 kiddos)... a soak with this detergent has taken care of chocolate stains, blood (so much blood from a head wound that needed stitches), and grass stain!

The main thing of all: the most economic in relation quality / price. It is my favorite even among more relevant or expensive brands.

PROS

Cleans much better than others inexpensive white label detergents even in cold water or short wash cycles.

Clothes feel comfortable without using softener. I particularly like that the fabric of the clothing feels clean, not soft as if the clothing has been worn for several days. You know what I mean.

The clean scent lasts for several days, without being too floral. It smells clean, like linen aroma not lavender or this kind of too "sweet" smells. I dont like smell like a bathroom freshener :)

The detergent arrived secured with a tape product around the cap and had no leakage. It was also in a bag inside the box with the air bubble cushions so it wasn’t jostled around in shipping. My husband is allergic to gain and tide and has very sensitive skin. I tried this product 4 years ago on a whim, just trying to find something that wouldn’t cause him to break out or get hives. This product worked! The clothes smell amazing and he doesn’t have any reaction to the detergent so I consider that a win! Scent lasts all day in clothes and lasts for a couple weeks in stored sheets and blankets. I also buy the laundry detergent from this brand with odor removers and oxy clean for work clothes and it works great! No sweat smell and colors haven’t faded. I have now loyally used this product for 4 years and have no complaints! Also with the subscribe and save it’s cheaper to have it shipped to me than driving to any local store and purchasing. In stores in my area I pay from 8.25 to 9.50 for this product, with subscribe and save I pay 6.52. Can’t beat that!

I used this at my daughter's house when I babysat her 3 rambunctious kitties. I washed about 20 loads because one kitty was quite upset she was not included in my daughter's vacation so she peed on her king size bed twice before that room became off limits to all of them. She had weighted blankets, several mattress pads, comfy blankets and of course sheets. The nightmare turned into a blessing because I love washing clothes now with this scent. I hope it doesn't become a fly off the shelf item now! My daughter said she fell in love with her boyfriend because his clothes always smelled so good. The credit belongs to him and so did the "bad" cat.

To tell the truth, I bought this originally only because I was already purchasing a Prime Pantry order, I needed detergent, and this was the most reasonably priced detergent avaliable at the time. I really didn't expect it to perform all that welI as I've used other Arm & Hammer products that did not perform all that well. I am pleasantly surprised to say the least. I've only done 3 loads but, so far, I'm impressed with this detergent's performance. I had a pair of bright white skorts with ground in dirt from gardening chores that I had previously washed with another detergent but that only managed to fade the dirt stains. The Oxiclean as well as the intense blue dye in this product really cleaned the dirt and restored the bright white to the skorts. I only used half a capful or so in my laundry load! My other clothes and towels appeared to be clean as well. My jug of detergent arrived in perfect condition with no cracks, leaks, or dents that some other reviewers have experienced. Maybe I was just very lucky. I might search locally in the future to avoid potential leakage in shipment problems. I did not find the scent to be unpleasant or obnoxiously strong as noted by others. Time will tell if with longterm use, it fades my clothes. I sure hope not. This large jug will last me quite a while but, barring future unforseen issues, I would purchase again.
