Can I use other laundry additives with ARM & HAMMER liquid detergents?
Yes, our liquid detergent products can be used in conjunction with any commercially available laundry additives.
Can the blue detergent cause a garment to spot or turn blue?
The blue colorant is specially formulated for liquid laundry detergents. The colorant is water-soluble and it dissipates almost immediately into the wash water.
Can I use a liquid fabric softener and/or a dryer sheet when using ARM & HAMMER Liquid Detergent?
Yes, if you are looking for additional softening you can use liquid fabric softener as directed on pack during the rinse cycle and/or a dryer sheet.

- The cleaning agents in ARM & HAMMER Liquid Detergents are biodegradable and safe for septic systems.
- The bottles are recyclable. The bottles are HDPE #2 plastic which is recyclable in most areas. Check with your local recycling center for specific recycling directions in your area.
- ARM & HAMMER Plus OxiClean contains enzymes. Enzymes are complex proteins used in laundry detergents to catalyze (speed up) reactions that break up stains so that they can be washed away more easily. They are not living, although they are produced by living organisms.
Steps to Successful Laundry
Sort it out: Sort by color, fabric type and soil content.
Colorfastness: Find a hidden area of the garment (such as the inside seam) and apply a 'pre-treatment concentration' of detergent. Allow to sit for 30 minutes and rinse. If color remains fast, proceed on whole garment.
Pre-treat: Treat stains early. Fresh stains are easier to remove than old ones. Always test an inside seam for colorfastness.
Drying: Do not put garments with a stain in dryer. The dryer heat will set stains and make them permanent. Repeat pre-treatment/washing techniques above. If this doesn't work, send garment to cleaners. Some stains, however, may be permanent.

So it may just be because it has been a long rainy day of driving in Houston construction traffic, but I was not excited to have to clean liquid laundry detergent off my livingroom floor when I got home! I use this detergent frequently and usually just grab it at the store, but decided I'd try to make life a but easier and have it delivered.... BIG mistake!! The product itself is amazing and I even use it for my toddler. Smells great too(trust me my whole house smells amazing now)! But I am not happy about waiting for a refund, cleaning up a big mess, and now making a trip to the store! 😡
