Tastes good, but has NON-Xylitol sweeteners that upset my stomach

This gum has a pleasant flavor and lasts a reasonably long time.

Unfortunately -- though I misunderstood this to have only Xylitol as a sweetener -- it also contains maltitol and mannitol, both of which make my stomach very, very unhappy :(.

Sadly, many (most?) companies use a mix of artificial sweeteners like this because -- while touting xylitol provides great PR -- it's one of the more expensive sweeteners :(.

Full ingredient list:
Xylitol, gum base, maltitol syrup, mannitol, contains 2% or less of: maltodextrin, natural flavor and artificial flavor, malic acid, citric acid, artificial color (blue 1 lake, red 40, blue lake 1), lecithin (soy), aspartame*, gelatin, acesulfame potassium, gum acacia, neotame, BHT to maintain freshness.

I usually love this gum and especially the grape flavor, which is why I purchased this 100 piece bag and even added it to my recurring shipment. Why the one star you ask? Well upon receipt of the first bag I was as excited as a child at Christmas until I ripped them open only to find a melted, clumpy, nasty, messy lump of gum. All the individual pieces had, somehow, merged into one melted nasty piece. I promptly reported this and awesome Amazon promptly replaced said bag. I waited with great expectations for said replacement bag only to once more be deeply disappointed with another melted mess. The return policy at this point does not give me any choice but to sadly sulk and yearn for delicious grapey satisfaction and the loss of my money. Buyer beware!!!

These are totally like magic! You pop them in your mouth and literally less than 45 seconds later they have all but completely lost their flavor. I am not sure how they can make these so tasteless in such a short amount of time but they really are like magic! POOF and they instantly have NO flavor.
WARNING> DO NOT CHEW GUM IN SINGAPORE WITH THESE because the instant you lose flavor in 15 chews you will want to spit them out but that could land you in jail or a heft fine in Singapore!

The flavor (in my mouth, anyway) does not last more than a minute, and the gum becomes tough after about 3 minutes. I cannot figure out why so many people seem to love this gum. I've given up on Ice Breakers. Got a refund and tossed out all but the one cube I chewed.

I'm of the minority that thinks artificial grape flavors are actually good. And if you're like me, you'll probably enjoy the flavor of this gum, since it's not all that different from other grape candy. If you dislike the flavor, you'll dislike this too. But I find myself needing to spit out the gum after only 5-10 minutes because the flavor runs out and the gum becomes much firmer. I would be satisfied if the texture remained unchanged at least, since it gives me something to chew, but because the gum ends up noticeably harder than it is at first, I can't give this product more than 3 stars.

I really like these gums as they are very great value and I love love the flavors. This black cherry in particular is 1 of my faves. It is so yum and last long enough to be worthy.
