Organic Coconut Flour
Organic coconut flour is a delicious, nutritious alternative to wheat and other grain flours. Created from the highest quality desiccated coconut, coconut flour is one of our most popular gluten free flours. Use it to make pancakes, cookies, muffins and more.
Coconut flour is an ideal choice for sweet or savory recipes and is a wonderful coating for chicken, fish or other proteins. It blends well with nut flours to create superior gluten free baked goods. Due to its high dietary fiber content, recipes featuring coconut flour often call for extra eggs. This flour is a good source of medium-chain triglycerides and lauric acid, “healthy” fats found in other coconut products like coconut milk and coconut oil.

Coconut Flour Pancakes Recipe
Instructions
- Preheat a skillet to medium or medium-high heat.
- In a large bowl whisk together eggs, oil and milk until well combined.
- In a separate bowl sift coconut flour, sugar, salt and baking powder.
- Add dry to wet and thoroughly mix until there are no lumps.
- Ladle 1/4 cup batter per pancake onto a hot skillet. Cook until bubbles begin to form on the top, about 4 minutes, then flip and cook on the second side.

- 1/4 cup Organic Coconut Flour
- 1 Tbsp Sugar
- 1/4 tsp Sea Salt

I have tried many brands of coconut flour, but I always go back to Bob's Red Mill organic coconut flour. The quality and flavor is simply unmatched.
It works perfectly for many recipes: pancakes, waffles, microwave mug muffins. Combined with almond and other gluten free flours and starches is makes the perfect baked good, muffins, cupcakes, breads, crackers, crusts (pizza, pie, quiche).
The flour is fine and very absorbent, I feel it needs slightly more liquid in recipes compared with other brands.
The coconut flavor is deliciously pleasant, with the versatility of enhancing the taste of both sweet and savory recipes. It's tasty, without being overpowering. The smell alone from the bag sets my taste buds on fire.
The only thing I have a slight complain of is the packaging; I would prefer a classic zip lock, but I do end up transferring to an airtight container.
It keeps best quality in a dry cool pantry for 1-2 months, otherwise I recommend storing the flour in the freezer or fridge.
I do make gluten free cupcakes and pancakes, which I love and even my friends who try them love them. This didn't happen with using coconut flour. The flour itself is very fresh and I must admit that I have not tried it before in a cake.
