The description for this product is misleading . It is not a wifi range extender as the wording booster suggest. It will not Boost your signal. It is only an hdmi cable extender so you can have a foot more length added to your fore stick as apposed go the short length extender that comes with each fire stick already.
I wish I had read the reviews before making this purchase. Very disappointed. Ended up getting 2 wifi extenders for each floor to create a wifi zone since my cable is a whole house unit attached in the basement. If you want only a length extender cord which is what this is,great. If you actually need a wifi booster DO NOT BUY THIS ITEM.
In the description box for this product it starts out saying it boost your signal by making it easier for you to put your fire stick closer to the wifi box. If anyone has a TV in the same room with the stick, and your wifi box, and it does not work I'd call your cable provider to trouble shoot. There is no reason for your stick not to work if it is in the same room.
That statement is so misleading and inaccurate for what a wifi box is suppose to do. The point of a range extender is to allow you in a different room from where your wifi box is to get a stronger signal. The very definition on this description of this product is misleading and I hope Amazon removes the wording for this item.
