I began using these products, combined with the soap of my choosing to create my own laundry detergent. One Cup of each product and a bar of soap finely grated makes the perfect, environmentally safe laundry detergent. Whether hand washing or using a machine, this detergent does a great job. My 72 year old dad now swears by the detergent he is making himself now. The old ways are still the best ways for both the clothes and the environment.

I like the fact that soda and borax seem to be fully as potent and effective as they were in my younger years when my Aunt Ruth taught me how to use her formula for the laundry she did every Monday.

In my school vacation days years ago I spent much of my time in my Aunt Ruth's vegetable garden tending what she had planted, in the kitchen cooking & canning what had grown in the garden, & on the porch getting the house washables through round after round of soaking & watching the wash go from dirty to sparking clean in her old-fashioned roller machine using a mixture of soda & borax plus another ingredient. That's what I'm doing with my Amazon purchase -- carrying on my Aunt's tradition of producing the best cleanest & whitest laundry washables in the community. Deserves five stars * * * * * if anything ever did or does. Monday is a better day because of my purchase.

Borax is a must have laundry addition when washing dingy whites & even colors. Our local water leaves hard water deposits, and BORAX cuts right through the crud, leaving your clothes soft & BRIGHT!
A 1/2 half cup or less of Borax, depending on the size & lackluster quality of your laundry is all you need.
I add my laundry detergent after the Borax Booster. The Borax comes in a cardboard (not plastic) box & is a powder that doesn't really have any odor. I also have NOT noticed any skin issues related to Borax.
I've never used it for anything beyond laundry...but it is touted as a household cleaner also.
Highly recommend this Booster.
It is delivered in a secured plastic bag & may have powder detergent in bag when delivered.
After the 2020 pandemic.....It Wasn't a Deal Breaker for me!

high perfumed washing soaps; i believe are the cause of the irritation when you sweat in your under clothes. i also use baking soda. i mix my own three washing whites powder in equal amounts; try it. the worst soap powder i found is tide for jock itch. add about a cup of white vinegar to rinse water; works great for me!!

Have yet to use the product but there was powder in side of the bag with powder everywhere inside of the box also. So we lost some borax because of it. Not to mention I had a book inside the same box which is now covered in powder.
