I was so excited to read this book when I found out it was going to be Blake and Samantha’s story. I’ve never met two characters who deserved a HEA more than these two.
This story was full of emotion but also love. I was afraid this was going to be kind of like a retelling of the first two books in this series but just from Blake’s POV adding in some new stuff from Samantha, but I was so wrong. Yes we do get some overlap in the story but this book felt like a completely different story. This book actually took me by surprise, there were things revealed in this story that I wasn’t expecting AT ALL!!!! I loved that!!!
I do feel this book was the more emotional story of the three. Just what is revealed and what Blake’s back story is, my heart broke on many instances. You will want tissues with you when you read this book (actually the whole series). I felt the flow and pace of this story was perfection!! This is definitely a slow burn between Samantha and Blake, but it is the ONLY way this story could be told. I love watching their friendship slowly build into something more. Taking both of them by surprise. I haven’t read that many books by Natasha Madison, but after reading this series, I plan to go back and read all her books and she has a fan for life.
Broken Love Story is the third and final book in her Love Series. These books can be read as standalones, but I really wouldn’t recommend them. You should read these books in order. This book is told in Dual POV. In this story we follow Blake and Samantha. Blake is Hailey’s (heroine from book 1) brother, who many years ago lost the love of his life. And Samantha is a Widow who has had her entire life turned upside down by one phone call. When tragedy strikes these two, neither one could’ve expected what would happen and how one lie could change their lives forever. I don’t want to say much more about this storyline because this is one that needs to unravel for each reader. Just trust me you will WANT to read this book!!!
I loved almost every secondary character in this series. I loved how the secondary character then turned into primary characters and you couldn’t help but root for them all. We get to see a different side to some of the secondary characters in this story and let me tell you…it wasn’t pretty!!! (Eric’s family) Overall most of the characters were easy to love. Especially the kids of this series!! They absolutely melted my heart.
I am sad to see this series come to an end, but I am so happy with the way it ended!!! I couldn’t have asked for more!!
This is one I will read again and again. I would 100% recommend this book to all readers. You will get swept up in this story and these characters lives. 1-click this book as soon as it comes out!!! You won’t be sorry.
“When one man’s death exposes a complex web of lies, three couples discover the true meaning of love, loss and redemption”.
After finishing this third book, that clip finally makes sense to me.
This is one trilogy I would recommend reading in order.
All three books run parallel to each other. They all follow the same timeline, just told from different perspectives.
Each individual book, has a beginning, a middle, an end and two epilogues that complete their story. Reading them out of order, you miss so much of the story that is told in the other books.
Samantha and Blake. Both have experienced the death of a loved one, leaving them broken.
Blake has his close knit family there for him. Helping him through his grief, just being there to support him in any way they can.
Samantha, grew up in foster care, no blood family of her own. She thought she had hit the family lottery with her husbands family. They accepted her, loved her and included her. Until her husbands death exposes all that he had hidden. And suddenly her family cannot see his wrongs, but, instead, blame her for his indiscretions. Now she is back where she started. Alone, no family, no support. Fighting not only for herself but her two young daughters as well.
Until Blake checks up on her. And an unlikely friendship blossoms.
Theirs is a slow burn, friends to lovers story.
I wasn’t sure how I would feel about Samantha. She did not come across in the best light in the first book. But now having read her perspective, I have a whole new appreciation for her character. Her husbands family on the other hand was despicable.
I liked the series. Loved the characters. I loved that the author did not make Blake into a man whore after the death of his girlfriend. She did the same with Jensen (book one). It was very refreshing.
Personally I would have almost liked this story told in one book, with multiple points of view. You lose so much of the emotion by not having it all together. I was in tears reading Hailey’s story (book one). By the time you get to this, the third book, reading the same scenes three times, you lose the emotional parts of the stories.

As if finding out your husband had died in a car crash, leaving you a widow and a single mother to two young girls, wasn’t bad enough, imagine finding this out from his ‘other wife’ someone he married 6 months ago, without either of you knowing about his ‘other’ life.
Blake lost the love of his life to cancer 6 years ago and hasn’t been able to move on since.
Can 2 broken halves make a whole? It seems they can, and can help mend each other’s hearts along the way.
Sam and Blake meet when he and Crystal go to confront the woman who was married to Hayley’s husband, Eric (Urgh even writing his name makes my blood boil), the woman he has two daughters with and who he’s been married to for years. Sam doesn’t know how to deal with life after Eric’s death, she wants to break down, scream and cry and lose it about the man who betrayed her and broke her heart on his deathbed, but she has to keep it together for her family, until the only family she has known, start to turn on her. Blake becomes her only friend, the one who is always at the end of a phone, or is just a few hours drive away when things are falling apart. To Blake, Sam is a friend until she becomes the second chance at a future, he didn’t think he had.
Wow! What an end to an amazing rollercoaster ride of emotions, series. I’ve never, laughed, cried, swooned and got so angry I almost threw my kindle reading a series, ever. This book has everything, a surprise you won’t see coming and so much heart, your own will burst.
Natasha Madison is always my go to, I know she will bring her A game every time and this was no different, she smashed my expectations out of the park and obliterated my heart along the way, but as always, put it back together a little more fuller.
And I just adored how Samantha and Blake's relationship developed from occasional phone calls as Samantha struggled to come to terms with Eric's lies and his family's reaction to them. To friendship, as everyone she thought she could rely on turned their back on her and then finally to love, and it was just so captivating and believable that I could not put it down.
And I would definitely recommend Broken Love Story to others.
We met the characters in the previous books so we know the back-story for all of them going in to this one.
Both Blake and Samantha have suffered heartbreak but they're drawn together despite the awful circumstances that surround them. Samantha has to stay strong for her kids and while trying to hold herself together, she's hit by treachery from her in-laws. Blake proves himself to be a perfect book boyfriend as her tower of strength.
Beautifully written and with all the feels.
Blake's story but I was also worried that it could fall flat. I was so wrong!!! Blake is such a loving, caring person who helped his sister through a very bad time, in doing so he found something he never thought he'd find.... Love.
Samantha is also going through the same trauma as Hailey, Blake's sister and the way he helps her is just, well amazing.
Natasha couldn't have written a more perfect ending to this series, I absolutely loved it. I highly recommended the whole 3 book series so you can connect with all the characters the way I have.
Blake and Samantha were destined from the first time they met and their love no matter how they faught it was meant to be!
A beautiful book filled with lots of emotion will have you laughing, crying and the twist that's delivered will make you literally fall off your seat.
Another fantastic book by Natasha Madison!
