Wonderful, Wholesome, Fun!

A wholesome, fun, & always child-appropriate "mystery" genre cartoon! My 6 year old daughter is on the more "sensitive" side when it comes to n e thing that might b conceived as "scary/spook." She loves & is extremely advanced at doing n e type of puzzles, riddles, & mystery/problem solving! But it can b a bit of a challenge at times 2 find shows/books ect that r on her intelligence level w/out having 2 also worry if it's 2 "scary" 4 her. So even though she can "solve the mystery" quite quickly now, I kno she's still learning/sharpening her problem/mystery solving skills, w/out having 2 worry that something on the show might "scare" her. I think it's outrageous, & completely ashamed that 95% of cartoons/kids TV shows contain things (i.e. language, themes, situations ect.) that r vastly inappropriate 4 children. It's always a welcome blessing to find cartoons/kids shows that I don't have 2 either pre screen, or b very vigilant while she's watching something new.
So if your looking 4 a wholesome tv program that ur kids will love, "BUSYTOWN MYSTERIES" is it. Thank you RICHARD SCARRY (creator of busytown in case your wondering!!! Lol)

You can't go wrong with Richard Scary.

All three of my children have loved the Richard Scary books and the videos are a wonderful addition to them. My 5-year-old is enamored of the Mystery series in particular, and I love them too. I wish the creators of children's programming for Nick Jr. would stop ditching the programs that have actual educational value in favor of those that are only used to push a marketing agenda. That's why PBS Kids is still the best, so thank goodness for them. But this one has my approval, as it encourages reasoning skills, teaches respect, and uses humor in a cute and smart way, not a crude way. (And adults and parents aren't all portrayed as idiots, how refreshing!) Mr. Frumble is the lovable exception, of course! Thanks to Richard Scary for creating a "busy world" that I loved as a child, my children love, and millions of children will love for years and years to come. So adorable.

helps kids relate to cause and effects.

My four year old grandson likes to watch it, and stays interested. I watch along sometimes and even though the mysteries are too easy for me, I think that the program helps kids relate to "cause and effects", but they also at times bend the laws of physics.

One of the few kids' shows that has something approaching a plot. My 4 y.o. learned a lot from it.
