Protects My Mattress

REAL REVIEW:
This mattress protector gets the job done. The first night I put it on my bed, my son (half asleep at the time) grabbed an open water bottle that was more than half full and poured it all over the both of us and the bed. The water sat there for about 20 minutes while I tried to wake up (lol) and change the both of us into dry clothes. When I removed the blankets and the protector, the mattress was completely dry. It does what it's supposed to and I like that it has some cushioning to it and isn't loud or rough. There's no plastic sound when I get into bed and no stiffness felt underneath me. MY ONLY COMPLAINT is the amount of time it takes to dry the thing after it is washed. I guess it makes sense since its job is to contain moisture but it was a pain to have to wait for it to dry for so long before I could make up the bed. I read reviews before buying and someone mentioned running a 2nd spin cycle so I did that and I still had to run the dryer cycle twice. And there were still some semi-damp spots on it after all that - not wet enough to have to dry again but I could feel that they were there.
Other than that, I would recommend this protector for parents trying to protect their mattress from their children. The main reason I was looking for a new one was because my son spills so much on our bed (milk, water, juice, pee, etc.) and the protector I had was very hard to put on the bed. This one goes on like a fitted sheet and fits the thickness of our mattress which makes it wayyy easier to make the bed as I find myself doing every 10 minutes due to all the spills :)

In an attempt to protect a new temper pedic mattress, I bought AND returned two (highly rated) but horrible washable waterproof covers. They were paper thin, slid around, made noise when advertised not to, just horrible, then I found THIS! OMG, it is like heaven. It is thick, almost like a comforter, gorgeous boxed design, soft, silent, waterproof but you can’t see or feel that at all & not at all hot to sleep on. Do yourself a favor & buy this one. I’m sooooo glad I did.

Fits great on a queen ***Pro Tip for Moms out there. I use queen pads and wrap them around the whole twin mattress, so it covers the top and bottom of my twin. I have found this works really well and saves a little time and mess for potty training children. That was my purpose for this pad.

Just got it so I can't yet attest to the durability, but so far its exactly what we needed and the padding was an added bonus, I would recommend it if looking for an affordable mattress protector. I am replacing all of our old mattress pads and this was a great deal and my daughter loves hers.

I researched mattress pads and glad I picked this one. It washed well and I ran it through the spin cycle twice and readjusted it in the washer because it is made to be waterproof. That's how you know its working. On the bed it is lofty and comfortable and seems to hold it's shape. I've always used an anti-slip rug pad under my covers which holds them in place so I can't speak to that question. However the sides have excellent elastic and hold well. I am using mine over a gel foam mattress topper and this give it a softer and luxurious feel. My sleep has improved and I just feel more comfortable.

THE TOP OF THIS MATTRESS PAD IS NOT 100% COTTON: While the top of this mattress cover/pad is not 100% as advertised on Amazon ( the tag indicates the top to be 60% cotton, 40% polyester), the mattress pad is most comfortable. This pad easily fits our 15" mattress with room to spare. The padded portion of the mattress pad easily covers the entire top of our queen sized mattress. While I cannot attest to the water proof/ water resistant nature of this pad, I can certainly attest to absolute comfort of this rather fluffy and soft mattress pad. This mattress pad is highly recommended....
