Entertaining
Really good show for fans of Boston ( the band and the town). The accents are solid and the acting is really good. The script holds together nicely and the Storyline includes a message. I love it when movies or series express opinions. Hats off to Kevin Bacon who is going to turn out to be deserving of a lifetime achievement award. The entire cast is brilliant but I don't have their names on the tip of my tongue. Let me know if you enjoy it as much as I did.

Good and gritty

Love this show. Made me a hard core Kevin Bacon fan and introduced me to a whole lotta good actors. Time and place is close to my heart, too, so I’m slightly biased. If you liked the wire, and the sopranos, this will be right up your alley too.

I watched this as I like shows set in boston and it portrays the 90's so why not. Bacon is ok, a little over the top but some of the other characters are good. Bacon's wife is lame and his kid knows too much for a kid. D'coursey is good. Maybe season 3 has better writing but it's not bad.

3 for stellar cast
Another installment in the trend of featuring repulsive, noxious, narcisstic men presented as anti-heros and empathetic. Bacon - whom we all luv - is unwatchable at times here. Boston pd reality grit is one thing, but pushing empathy for this scumbag, and others, especially at the expensee of women and children, is over the top. The series has gotten better as it has progressed. Bacon is among the great, but, it's an Affleck/Damon thing and it shows .... ewww, just, ewww.

A somewhat fictionalized series about 1990s Boston socio-political events
Excellent acting in this fictionalized take on 1990s Boston. Kevin Bacon does an wonderful turn as a corrupt FBI agent (reminiscent of John Connolly) up against an honest Assistant DA played by Aldis Hodge. Interwoven are intrigues about a Brinks truck robbing team, featuring Jonathan Tucker and Mark O'Brien as brothers Frankie and Jimmy Ryan. Jill Hennessey is convincing as Bacon's long-suffering wife and Amanda Clayton is suberb as Frankie Tucker's tough yet vulnerable wife. It's a truly enjoyable series. Hoping that Jonathan Tucker will return to the series, despite having brother Jimmy rat him out, sending him for an extended prison sentence.

Kevin Bacon is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING
this show is a must watch. Incredible show, well made. Good job everyone involved. Was sad to see the Brothers go away at the end of season 1, being ratted on like that. Loved Season 1, hope season 2 is better
