Standard Leftist Propaganda

I feel sorry for the good actors in this movie. Reason is because the Left has pushed a huge lie in it, as it portrays the U.S. Citizen that is concerned about illegal immigration and international terrorists infiltrating the U.S. borders as the bad guy. U.S. patriots are not against 'legal' immigration. Many U.S. veterans served with foreign nationals that became legal U.S. citizens after they fulfilled their military service and the rest of the qualifications to become a U.S. citizen. They earned it. By allowing just any foreign national illegal to cross the U.S. border and draw benefits, even without even paying taxes, that mocks what those who earned citizenship did to become U.S. citizens, and it increases the amount of taxes they must pay. Many of the actors in this movie no doubt feel the same way, but because of how the Left has taken over their industry, they have little choice but to 'go along' with movie scripts like this one if they want to keep working as an actor.

Great Movie For Decent Human Beings

Surprised I never had this movie on my radar, great acting and of course a PERFECT ending....unless you are in the following camp:

Flat Earther, Trump Supporter, Qanon Adherent, Anti-Vaxer, Racist.

The aforementioned will use their limited intellect and simply brand it as "leftist propaganda".

I'm a proud Veteran, a Reagan centrist Republican and can't wait until these reject insurrectionists crawl back under their rock.

Not a Highlight For Anyone Involved

This poorly written, poorly executed mish-mash of "Rambo," "Billy Jack" and "Bad Day at Black Rock," filled with hamfisted yet convoluted messages about the evils of xenophobia, big corporations, military contractors and rural whites is a deep career nadir for Kilmer, Esposito and Cole. Clearly this was supposed to be a better film but I think the combination of an amateurish and wildly unoriginal script, a shoestring budget (I'm guessing spent mostly on talent salaries) and a weak director made it into a pretty embarrassing watch. Too bad. The classic framework of the story is tried and true but the writers and director just were not up to the challenge of doing something clever or even entertaining with it.

Horrible!

The billionaire that pushes war globally and wheels and deals corruption is really secretly driven by a few immigrants crossing into Arizona. That's the dark heart of the beast that justifies murder and slavery. Totally makes sense. At least the other good guy was with him all along for the last few seconds. Somehow his body overcame the frequency loss to be able to pick up a gun again though they never explained how. But hey. Sure glad they have their fake town in the middle of nowhere back.

Fantastic. Well done.

Val Kilmer initially drew me to this film. There were so many low stars & negative reviews, I almost didn’t watch it. But I took a chance & wow am I ever glad I did!
The back story builds & builds…some people are so addicted to instant gratification they’ve lost all ability to value the “art” of a well told story/movie. Wait for it, wait for it, wait for it….then Boom the ginormous long, gratifying crescendo to the satisfying end.

I do not usually watch or like films with violence, but I really like Val Kilmer...

...so I watched this film because he has a starring role. I thought he was great in this role, and love that his character did right by his good friend, a fellow veteran, and others that had been wronged and mistreated. Satisfying. Don't want to give away too much of the plot. To me it was worth watching and quite exciting. If you like action films and seeing a good man acting in the name of justice I think you'll enjoy this film. Enjoyed this much more than I thought I would!
If you don't mind violence you may give it 5 stars. I'm not keen on seeing so much violence though, so I give it 4.
But I think Val deserves 5 stars for his performance!

5 year old girl with a strapped bomb? Ridiculuos zionist accusation
Verified purchase
Unreal. In the first 2 minutes this "movie" shows a 5 year old girl carrying a bomb which blows her up allegedly to kill u.s. troops. NOTHING could be further from the truth as Arabs love their children and would never ever ever do anything so low. The juice in charge of hollywood would definitely accuse Arabs of doing it and now their accusations have crossed the line. They manipulate the u.s. into attacking in the middle east all for the sale of israeill however the u.s. soldiers may be seen as invading terrorists if one stops to think about why they are there. This stupid idiotic zionist movie coud never change facts although it might influence the weak minded into thinking this was a documentary. I hope people watching understand that this is all based on lies and deception. Strike 3 and its OUT.

WHAT A GREAT SUSPENSE THRILLER. VAL KILMER COMES THROUGH AGAIN WITH A COMMAND PERFORMANCE. HE IS A WAR TORN VET WITH PTSD AND WAS VERY CLOSE TO A HISPANIC MAN WITH WHOM HE SERVED IN THE MARINES. AFTER THE WAR, HE ARRIVES HOME AND AFTER A TIME RECEIVES A NOTE ASKING EMOTIONALLY FOR HELP IN ARIZONA. DESPITE ANY HARDSHIPS AND WITHOUT HESITATION, HE
GOES TO HELP QUICKLY. HOWEVER, THE TOWN HE ARRIVES IN IS NOT TOO WELCOMING TO STRANGERS. THIS FILM IS AN EXACT COPY OF
THE FAMOUS.........BAD DAY AT BLACK ROCK, WITH SPENCER TRACY, LEE MARVIN, AND ROBERT RYAN. TO DO A GOOD DEED IN A VERY QUIET TOWN WITH SECRETS OF ITS OWN, HE IS BEATEN AND THREATENED. AS THE DENOUEMENT, I.E. UNRAVELING ARRIVES, YOU WILL VIEW A BREATHTAKING FINALE WHERE EVERYONE RECEIVES WHAT THEY DESERVE. A PHENOMENAL MOVIE!
