I occasionally game with this mouse and it works pretty well. Should be obvious that this is not a purpose built gaming mouse.
Good buy overall and will buy again.
There are technically 3 added-on buttons; Aside from the Left , Right, and Scroll Wheel Button, there are one attached to the left and to the right side. There is also a button behind the scroll wheel which changes your sensitivity. There are Four levels to the sensitivity which goes from 400 DPI to 1600 DPI.
The buttons on each side feels harder to press on, but it's still very useful. On a side note, the wheel feels very comfortable; the mouse itself is very comfortable to grasp onto and use if you're a casual gamer.
If however, you are a hardcore gamer looking for an awesome mouse, I don't really recommend this mouse. It goes well for casual gamers and hardcore gamers, but look for Logitech / Razer type of mice if you're looking for gaming mice.
I like the normal functioning of this mouse very much. The mouse movement is very responsive, the click are firm and responsive; and the scroll wheel also has a nice click when moving. All in all this mouse is one of the best I can recall using (daily use for last 2 months) and am going online to buy another. I hope it lasts many years which i know sounds ridiculousness for modern technology...but we shall see.
The 2 buttons on the side are are not very ergonomical and somewhat difficult to use because of their location. The button behind the scroll wheel is actually quite nice. It changes the speed/sensitivity of the motion of the mouse. Usually you have to go into settings to change this. It is very nice having it right there in a logical location on the mouse.
I recommend this mouse to everyone...right after I go buy another one for our other computer! :-)
