They work-But you need to use a container

Well, we have tried probably 4 different, highly rated options to battle the killing of the grass. Finally a product that works! My tips which I build off of others that shared in reviews: buy 2 gallon sized containers. Put the rocks in the containers with water (not the dog’s dish). Get enough rocks to measure correctly (very important) and keep both containers filled and rotating. As you fill the dogs dish up, refill that container, but then use the container that had been sitting for a bit next. That way you are using water that has been ‘treated’ for enough time each time you pour water into the dish.
I believe this is why these don’t work for some people. They put the rocks in the dish, put new water on top of them, not giving it any time to sit with the rocks.
And I have a cat that occasionally will drink from the dog’s dish-no issue.

I really wanted this product to work. Used it faithfully per instructions for a year. Communicated with company and sent pictures of all the burned spots in my yard. They advised instead of putting the rocks in the water dish to measure out water into a jug and put rocks in jug sitting overnight before adding to water dish next day. Committed another full year and the picture shows how it did NOT work!!! All the burn spots had to dig out burned grass and fill with dirt and Scott’s Patch Master. I requested a refund but the company now wants me to double the qty of rocks and since they cannot refund will send one 2 month supply. I have already invested a lot in rocks for 2 years and asked for a 6 month supply to see if their new plan would even work. They were not willing to budge. I have a 3 yr old healthy dog. The picture clearly shows this product DOES NOT WORK.

I didn’t read many reviews before my husband insisted we needed these. I read a little about these online and decided to give them a shot. We have two medium sized golden retrievers who are about 11 years old. They are normal dogs and don’t regularly destroy things or do anything abnormal. Once the rocks were added to the water, they took it upon themselves to remove the rocks from the water dish. They didn’t eat them, but they relocated them to the living room floor several times before we gave up. I don’t want to set up a water transfer process where the rocks sit in a pitcher and then I fill the water from that pitcher. These aren’t the right product for us. I hope other dogs don’t actually eat these!

I have a tiny yard and two large dogs. I have tried everything to save my lawn. I've had it re-sodded twice, I tried to train them to pee in the mulch, which they were very agreeable to doing as long as I went out with them and herded them that way. The minute I let them out alone they went back to peeing in their favorite spots. They slowly whittled away at my lawn and I was willing to try anything. I knew my next option was astro turf. I gave these a fighting chance. They did nothing. I wish the first one to I find a way to sell rocks to gullible people.

I knew it wasn't likely that they would work but I just had to see for myself. Just believe all the reviews, these don't work.

Just a helpful tip. While looking up astro turf companies and falling off the chair at the cost (although probably worth it in the long run). I stumbled upon some info that suggested planting clover in your lawn. Its much cheaper so I decided to give it a go. I tossed the seed around, and didn't even bother watering it. Lo and behold it came up, and it came up strongest in the mud/dead grass patches, and it kept growing even though they continued to pee on those spots!

Doesn't work and causes side effects

I am very disappointed in this product. I have been using it for a month and it has had no effect on the browning of the grass. I have been taking my dogs to a new spot to pee and that grass has browned and died. As a side effect, this has made on of my dogs poop much more frequently to the point where he can't hold it and has pooped in the house. Before the rocks, he went only once a day now it is three times a day and sometimes a fourth on the floor. There were no other changes to my dogs diet or surroundings. I am very unhappy with the product and missed the return deadline by six days. I would avoid this product and will never purchase again.

These do apparently work; however, the description is inaccurate! It states they do not affect your dog's PH, but my vet confirmed they do actually affect the dog's PH. This is really bad, as I have a dog w/a bladder infections, and these could cause serious health issues had my vet not caught the issue!

Don't seem tow work with our dog...

My son swears by these for his dogs, but they don't seem to work for our dog. There are variables involved we have a female and he has a couple of male dogs... They pee differently! Also, he is in Texas and I am in Ohio, so the grass blends are likely different.

“The jury is still out” on this product. I thought it was helping but the pictures show it’s not been recently. However, I just added the new rock after the 2 month time frame of the first 2 smaller rocks. I even used the reminder sticker on my calendar so I wouldn’t wait too long. So maybe it was helping but needs to be “refreshed” sooner. I just received my recent order of 3 new packs, which I’m going to return, if I see several new spots in the next couple of weeks. I really want this product to work because my lawn is getting trashed :7(

Don't seem to work very well in the summer months

I purchased one bag and put them in the dog's water starting in the spring. which is still somewhat wet here in the Northwest. We did not experience browning until the beginning of summer. We purchased three more bags changing them often but seemed to have more brown spots than ever throughout the summer months. Cannot say that they are effective and wish I had not spent the money on them.
