They are exactly what were advertised, simply small individual packets of bleached white sugar packets. Basically just like the drive ins and diners use to have available on their restaurant dining tables.
By the way, the reason I justified ordering such a large supply just for my household of my wife and myself, was first mainly because they were actually difficult to track down online and very convenient to have on hand. The other reason was to have them available to help address my occasional spells of the "hiccups" I get from time to time. I learned of this therapy from a medical doctor friend of mine who explained the administration of swallowing a single package of the sugar is enough to interrupt the intermittent spasms of the throat much in the same traditional manner of either drinking a glass of water very slowly, or, and holding your breath long enough to interrupt the similar activity process. I frankly prefer the use of swallowing a packet sugar while the mouth is fairly dry.

It’s... Sugar!
If you’ve ever tasted the stuff before, you’ll know this is the real deal. This is the plain old disaccharide you know from high school chem and love ever since before you’ve been to a dentist.
The packets are not that convenient if you’re looking to use large amounts, (don’t try and bake anything larger than an ant-size cake with this, you’ll have an easier time emptying the ocean with a shot glass) but for small, personal servings (tea, coffee, food sprinkling), this does the trick!
Keep away from ants!

tho they didnt say so, I ASSUMED each packet would be a teaspoon measure, but not the case; each packet is more like 1/2 teaspoon so you dont get much sugar when it all said and done

I know other people have had issues with this product, but my order (bought from Iceman something) came out fine. Inside the outer shipping box there was another heavy duty cardboard box, and inside that box were all the sugar packets (loose). Not a speck of sugar anywhere in the box (except in the packets), and the packets seemed like they were in perfectly fine condition. I use these for an after-church coffee set-up; we just put a handful in a small dish and it works great.

I ordered this sugar through Amazon to be delivered to someone in another state. He is bedridden, gets meals delivered, but had no way to get sugar for his daily coffee. Ordering through his local grocery store was complicated, then I remembered Amazon. Sugar arrived at his cottage the next day and he was so happy to have this small but comforting ingredient. So much is out of his control now, but coffee the way he likes it - like pure gold!

There are so many open packets it is ridiculous.

Just to update, it is not only that probably half of the packets are leaking when I take them out of the box, but any shaking of the packets will open them at the seam. These things are beyond useless and I cannot believe that someone actually sells them.
