5.0 out of 5 starsGreat earbuds with hybrid active noise cancellation and long battery life.....
Reviewed in the United States on November 4, 2020
I was excited to try out the EarFun Air Pro after I had read about them on some audio websites. I liked the styling and they seemed very compact and looked like they would work well for me at the gym, on the go, and at the office. I decided to take a chance and ordered them. They arrived the next day thanks to Amazon’s Prime's fast shipping.

 Accessories -

When I got the earbuds they came nicely packaged in a petite box. Included in the box is a USB C cable and 3 sizes of ear tips, small, medium, and large. The Air Pro themselves came fully charged in the very small charging case, the charging connectors on the earbuds had a small protective film that needed to be removed before using them.

Features\Build Quality -

The earbuds use an accelerometer to allow for touch controls, for example two taps on the right earbud starts\pauses music, 3 taps on the right bud advance a track, 3 taps on the left ear bud cycle through hybrid active noise cancelling, transparent mode, normal mode etc. I found it easy to get used to the controls and found they performed well.

The earbuds have hybrid noise cancelling. The hybrid active noise cancelling worked quite well at the gym, quieting the roar of the fans or the pounding of someone’s feet on the treadmill. I found that it also worked well to quite the air conditioning and the constant drone of the servers at my work place.

10mm composite dynamic drivers are utilized and the EarFun Air Pro have an IPX5 sweat\water rating that comes in handy for those that use these at the gym or outside. They have a total 32 hour playtime, 9 hours on the earbuds and 23 hours with the charging case.  I found that the earbuds sometimes exceeded their advertisement play time even. The Air Pro also have noise cancellation for calls and single earbud mode for when you only want to use one earbud.

The Air Pro are very light and are made of a durable black plastic. They are very light and I did not feel any fatigue from having them in my ears for hours. I like the angled nozzle because it fit my ears well and with the included tips also provided good passive noise cancellation. I want to mention that these are very glasses friendly and for those who wear masks to protect themselves during this pandemic.

I want to touch on how nice and compact the case is, it is to carry in your pocket and seems well made with a USB C charging port, with a charging indicator next to it. The case also has a charging indicator light within the case and is also used for pairing. the earbuds fit magnetically in the case and they felt very secure. Speaking of pairing, these were very easy to pair to both my LG G8 ThinQ and my wife’s Iphone 11. After being paired, the next time I took them out of my case, they were instantly paired and ready to play music. I also like the way they paused the music if I took one of the Air Pro out my ears.  I also wanted to mention that I had no dropouts, I would leave my phone on the window sill at the gym and walked 40 ft or more and they stayed connected, I also had no problem when I took them on a hike with my dog, they never disconnected when used outside.

Sound -

The EarFun Air Pro have lots of bass, but it is controlled and not bloated. They seem to have a V shaped sound signature, with crisp mids, lively vocals, and they do not lack in treble. I really like how they sound.  I listened to a variety of Flac and mp3s in a variety of genres from thrash metal, acoustic, jazz, and so on. The Air Pros performed admirably in all the genre’s I threw at them. I also liked how they had a wide soundstage, they did not sound congested, all of the instruments were easily heard in all the songs. I found myself looking forward to listening to music on my EarFun Air Pro, they were that good.

Calls -

I took several calls with these, both personal and for work. I called my 79 year old mother and she said I sounded great, and that was with a 15 mph wind when I was out on a walk. I used them on some zoom calls and nobody said I sounded robotic or anything. I also thought everything sounded great on my end. I used them both on my Imac and pc during Zoom and Microsoft Teams meetings\calls. I can see that the advertised noise cancellation was put to good use for taking calls.

The only thing I would like to see in the next iteration of these would be the use of AptX, the ability to change volume on the earbuds, and maybe an app to give me the ability to change sound signatures, and an equalizer.
Overall, I would highly recommend these. They are priced very reasonably and offer a lot for your money. They have great sound, hybrid active noise cancelling, and a great sound signature with sufficient bass for those those that want their songs to hit hard.

My experience with the Earfun Air Pros has led me to question the validity of headphone review sites such as rtings, soundguys and whathifi. These were so hyped on those sites as best TWS Earbuds under $100. My experience with them:

1. They are quite uncomfortable and don't seat naturally in my ears at all. I had to use a mirror to get them positioned as shown in the manual.
- 1.5. don't even think of sleeping with these if you're a side sleeper.
2. If you don't have them seated perfectly the passive sound dampening suffers significantly.
3. The active noise cancellation is really unimpressive, I kept checking to see if it was still on. My Soundpeats T2s have better ANC, for less $$$.
4. Pass-Thru is really tinny and awful and has weird random gaps in what it allows through.
5. Even though I knew they lacked on-bud volume control when I bought them, I found that I underestimated what an omission this is. Any advantage conferred by the gyro-activated tap controls is completely undermined by the way it limits the number of touch control functions available. I'm really irritated at the "professional" review sites that brushed the macaron controls off as an acceptable compromise. It makes me wonder if they ever wear the equipment they're testing outside of the lab in the real world.
6. They do sound pretty good but TWS earbuds are a crowded competitive market and LOTS of them sound pretty good.

5.0 out of 5 stars Just get it!
Reviewed in the United States on January 6, 2021

I bought these for $65 when it was on a lightning deal and let me say that they are The BEST sounding earbuds I have ever owned! I’ve had Anker liberty, jabra65t, wired bose earbuds, jlab and sony earbuds that doesn’t even come close to the clarity and bass I get from these buds. You can check my profile that I’m not a paid reviewer and I gave 5 stars or 1 star whichever is deserved. With that being said, I can’t compare them to the apple earbuds or the sennheisers, bose wireless buds that costs $100-200 or even more, all I am saying is that for an average guy who would use these earbuds for music, talking on the phone or watching videos, these buds are perfect. The ANC is a nice addition to the package, it’s good, it works but it’s not the best, the Jabras 65t is better. Battery life is phenomenal and plus the quick charging usb c cord is a nice component too. It comes with 3 different silicone tips and the one that it comes with are perfect for my ears, I can have these on for hours and would not cause any ear pain like other eabuds I had before.

It is great, especially for the price point but it’s not perfect, below are some cons but jot deal breaker for me:
- calls get static noise sometimes but it could also be due to signal.
-both buds can be used separately for music but only the right bud can be used separately for calls
-volume can’t be controlled by either earbuds (this can be a positive for some people)
- incoming facetime calls sometimes don’t connect to the buds, I needed to put them back to the case and put them back on for the call to connect to the earbuds.
- there is no way to check the level of battery

Hopefully the issues with the calls will be fixed with an upcoming update. Even with all the cons, for the price I paid for it is still a steal.

5.0 out of 5 stars Can't Beat Them At This Price Point

I'm and audiophile on a budget. I have some over ear JBL noise canceling headphones I use for 'serious' listening but for working out or portability I've been using a $30 pair of earbuds that I chose after listening to 5 of the top rated under $40 earbuds. With COVID I started working out more at my house in the garage and wanted better sound quality. You shouldn't pay more than $55.99 for these not because they are worth more but because there are coupons floating around to give you 20% off or 10% off additional on top of Amazon coupon.

After listening and comparing to other earbuds in the $75-$125 range, nothing beats the sounds quality, comfort, and functionality. No they aren't as good as Apple Air Pods which many like to compare everything to (or Beats), but they are surprisingly close in sound quality at less than half the price! Good balanced bass. My only criticism is you can't adjust volume with headphone control and the highs are a bit 'bright' -- which is easily fixed if your player has an eq (drop around the 4 Khz frequency down -3 to -6 dB.

I also love how they turn on/off automatically from detecting when they are inserted in your ears. I'm adding these to my all-time best deal Amazon past purchases list.

5.0 out of 5 stars Earfun Air Pros: Great sound, great value—really enjoying them!
Reviewed in the United States on January 5, 2021
Color: BlackVerified Purchase
I had been using the Earfun Air earphones for a while, and while I love them, they don’t have noise cancellation. So when the Air Pro model came out with noise cancellation, I immediately bought them.

My reference headphones are the Bose QC35II. At $350, the Bose, as expected, have better low base and upper treble, with a deeper soundstage, but I was surprised at how well the Earfun Air Pros measured up. Mid and upper bass are strong, and treble is still very good. With a little equalization at the extreme ends of the audio spectrum, I can get them even closer to the Bose. The mids are excellent, and do especially well with female voices. All in all, I find the sound great for the music I listen to: rock, blues, jazz, with a bit of classical thrown in. For longer listening times (airline travel, etc.), I’ll opt for the Earfuns. They are much more comfortable and much cooler (temperature-wise) — my ears can get a bit sweaty in the Bose.

Noise cancellation is very good. The combination of a relatively well sealed ear tip and the electronics do their job well. The ambient mode lets me keep better track of what’s going on around me, if I need that, and when I don’t need noise cancellation, normal mode adds a couple of extra hours use per charge.

I get 6 to 7 hours play time with noise cancellation on, depending on listening volume, and I get a couple of extra charges (plus a bit more) from the charging case, so when traveling, I don’t have to worry about finding a place to charge them during the day. I typically go several days before recharging the case.

I use them mainly for music or watching video on mobile devices, but phone calls are clear, and the extra microphones seem to cancel out much of the background noise so that people on the other side of the call can hear me well.

I use them regularly with an iPhone, iPad, and Windows laptop. All connected easily on first use, and the Air Pros will automatically connect with the last device they were paired with. They connect so quickly that they’re connected before I get them all the way into my ears. I can use just one earphone at a time, if I want to keep one ear free, and either one can be used singly, automatically switching to mono mode when using just one. Some earphones I looked at only had mono mode on one side.

The in-ear detection pauses my music when I pull out earphones, so if I have to have a conversation, I pull out the plugs and can go right back to where I was when I put them back in. Oh yeah, playback starts automatically, too. It also works great with Siri. I was actually surprised how well they work in the Apple ecosystem. All in all, I think you’d be hard pressed to beat the Air Pros without paying significantly more.

As a testament to how much I like them, my recently adopted puppy recently chewed up one of the earphones when I left it down within his reach (my bad). I immediately went back to Amazon and ordered another set.

5.0 out of 5 stars I don't think I can live without my Air Pro Earbuds
Reviewed in the United States on November 10, 2020

These buds are absolutely amazing.
The noise canceling functionality blew me away immediately. The first times I put them in at work I was amazed at the instant reduction in the background noise. I checked the noise reduction capability with a decibel meter of the reduction of a shop floor at around 60 db (not super loud but a significant constant hum and buzz of equipment) and the background noise was canceled completely for me. The 6 microphones on the buds used to create the noise canceling technology leads to one of my favorite functions, when paired to my phone I have full voice control functionality by using the voice assistant thru the buds microphone, and literally needed no set up. All I have to do is put the buds in and talk, and the buds microphone seamlessly transfers to my phone's voice assistant and it's is ready to go!
If I’m in a setting where I do not wish to control my music or podcast or phone calls with my voice, the buds have tap control, to play/pause, skip tracks, answer/decline/end calls, activate phone assistance, and switch modes between Active Noise Canceling (ANC) and “Normal” stereo and I've never had an issue with the tap control.
I also have to say i really like the "ambient mode" at work for still being able to hear people walking up to talk to me, or other work related noises when I need to hear them. Single ear listening works great with either bud as well, and pulling either earbud out while listening to anything will pause the track, which is also great when the noise canceling is on and someone is trying to talk to me.
The sound quality is fantastic! I listen to mostly a lot of hip hop and EDM (Electronic Dance Music) and find these to give me the bass sound I crave for. They have a overall rich sound with a satisfying deep heavy bass that I haven’t experienced with some other WIRED ear buds. The mid-range is silky smooth and I felt they had amazing clarity when listening to podcasts. Overall I feel these have amazing audio fidelity.
The battery life of 7-9 hours depending on the play mode (ANC vs “Normal”) and I’ve gone all day at work using them without them dying, so I’d say the 7 hours of constant ANC mode is going to be about spot on. I’ve had them out of the charging case for about 8-9 hours continuously and they still worked. I didn’t test the exact accuracy if the 32 hours of play without charging the case is accurate, but it took me three days of use to get to the point needing to charge the case, so I believe that to be an accurate number. You can get about 40-50 feet away from the Bluetooth source depending on walls before the signal breaks/disconnects.

Overall, these buds are an absolute STEAL. I’d highly recommend trying these out, they are better than other wired buds I've tried that didn’t perform anywhere close to these. These are my new favorite earbuds and I couldn’t be happier with my purchase!

So having come off a bad experience with another brand I wasn’t expecting much. I was flat out wrong. The Earfun Air Pro are the best noise canceling earbuds I have ever used. My wife was trying to talk to me and literally couldn’t hear a word. Only headphones that I can say the same for are my 300.00 Bose which I refuse to take outside or on vacation. Sound quality is really very good for earbuds, much better than I expected, or than other more expensive brands I have tried. The three sound options are easy to cycle through and the phone reception was great. Battery has lasted longer than I expected which for the very first time in my experience means they are going to last as long as the brand says they are supposed to. The one knock I read about before purchasing was that no onboard volume control. I was actually fine with that as I have never had great luck with touch volume control on others and I like the weight of these. That’s the other great feature of these the fit is incredibly comfortable, so either I am very lucky or the build quality is just that good. Not to huge or heavy and super soft buds that mold well to my ears. So all in all if you want to go and spend several hundred dollars on an earbud knock yourself out but I would rather spend under a hundred for super comfortable great sounding earbuds.

5.0 out of 5 stars The Amazing EarFun Air Pro

I am a professional music producer / audio engineer. I heard about these EarFun Air Pro earbuds and read the great reviews. I ordered a pair and had them now for a number of days.

They are really awesome. Extremely comfortable - incredible design. And with other earbuds I kept having to push them in continually because they would lose bass response when they got a bit loose or had any gap. These are different - they stay solid in your ear! You don't even know they are there.

The sound? I listen to music all day in my studio and have a great tube stereo system and high end turntable in my house. These earbuds, however, create a whole different listening experience. It is as if the instruments and vocals on the song are surrounding you. Like you are standing in the middle of it all. They put you right there. And I have heard subtle things on records - like Beatle songs - that I have previously listened to hundreds of times - that now all of a sudden I can distinguish more clarity and depth perception and hear subtle things I never picked up before.

I am very impressed.

I mostly have used them at home or taking a walk in the woods where the environment is typically very quiet. But in a couple of noisier circumstances I tapped in the noise cancellation - and was very happy with the result. It works and is very natural sounding.

Also - listening to pod casts or audio books is great through them. I have edited the audio for a number of audio books for Random House - and know what they sound like in a recording / editing studio. Hearing them over the EarFun buds makes me happy to know that folks can hear them the way they should be heard.

Another plus is using them for phone calls and ZOOM meetings. The sound and microphone are excellent.

They connect instantly with my phone's bluetooth, and the case fits easily in your pocket and the charging system is really together.

It's amazing they are sold at such a great price. You can buy a pair for yourself AND a pair for a friend - for far less than one pair of the Apple ones!

You will love them - and your friend will love you!

5.0 out of 5 stars Comfy, great sound, easy to use.

I'm more of a wired kinda guy, but wanted a true wireless for work, did my investigation and these came on top for the sub 100 category. I set my expectations low and boy was I wrong, the sound is awesome, the NC is awesome, the battery runs forever (Use them all day at work) and they are comfy enough that I can actually use them from 8 to 6.

They have some DC problem but is no big deal, I blame my old laptop's bluetooth, when paired with my phone there's no DC at all.

If you are on edge about a sub100 pair of true wireless, get these.

5.0 out of 5 stars A solid option with unique features

I was looking for buds with decent sound, good usability, ANC and ambient mode and the Earfun Air Pro fit the bill. Here's my take:
Usability: Perhaps the most important feature that I didn't think of until I got these is the accelerometer in the stems for tap recognition instead of capacitance touch surfaces. The benefits are consistent results when tapping the bud to change functions, and no worries of triggering actions when removing a bud or just handling them. This makes it very easy to handle the buds and pop one out when needed. Whatever you're listening to
Another great design feature is a relatively low profile and the flat sleek stems. These don't stick out of your ears like some of the large buds out there. They are also very easy to pop in and out. And (for me) they stay put even when working out.

Sound: the fidelity is good. Decent clarity and a nice tight clean bass. These are a little bass heavy which is good in this case as the clarity on the low end is great - no boominess at all.

Noise reduction seems pretty good though they are still new and I'm currently evaluating this feature.

Ambient mode is okay though it does introduce a background hiss. I'm also still evaluating this feature.

Bottom line: I could possibly find something in this price range that out performs the Earfun Air Pro, though the design and functionality put these over the top for me. I definitely recommend them.
