My husband makes fun of these hats I bought, calls them "miners hats". I will tell you they are super warm and very bright. We have to take our dogs out multiple times when it is dark and I was tired of trying to hold a flashlight and a leash while trying to bag dog poop. WaaLaa, I found these hats. They plug right into the charging port in my kitchen and are very bright. Love them and love things like this that make my life easier!!

This is my a standard USB charger and there are no instructions how to charge it. Does anyone have any idea how to charge this? The light is VERY bright and the beanie is soft and comfy! Love it - just need to know how to charge it! I will make 5 stars when I figure this out

It may seem a no-brainer to figure out how to charge this unit, but I would like a short instruction sheet indicating how to charge, how much time for a full charge, how to know when a charge is completed, when to anticipate that a charge is needed (an indicator on the unit?), and approximately how long a charge lasts at different power levels. I should not have to search around online to discover these things. The manufacturer should provide them.

I bought 2 of these over 2 months. The first time they charged great. Second time they charged but ran out of juice after 20 minutes, then they never would charge. Don't buy. Basically, it is just a hat.

Kids wanted to get this for their Dad for Christmas. I checked it out when it came in, super fast shipping by the way, and I'm impressed! Not only is it comfortable and warm, but the light itself has four different levels of brightness! The light easily comes out so you can wash it too. Great product. Will probably be buying more for the kids too!

I purchased this hat because it's getting dark so much earlier with the onset of winter. I have two dogs, and I walk them every night. This hat lights the way and keeps me from tripping over obstacles in my path. I haven't had to recharge it yet, but for the money, I recommend this hat if you have to do things outside (like taking the garbage out, walking out to get the mail, walking the dogs) in the dark. I live in a more rural area, and we don't have street lights, so the hat has come in handy.

So far i love this hat, have not used it yet for its intended purpose yet, hunting, but just from trying it out around the house i love it. The orange color is the typical blaze orange color of your typical hunter's hat or vest. It is a good weight/qiality hat, not some cheap, thin, easily stretched out hat. So even if and when the light does stop working i will still have a good quality hat. The light snugs into and pulls out of the rubber light holding piece without any problems. Seems to be a very good quality stiching job of that rubber piece to the hat. I guess its possible that the light could possible "fall out of" the hat, but to me it seems secure enough in there. I have an outlet in my kitchen that also has 2 usb ports and this light fit in those ports perfectly for charging. The light has 3 settings, or intensities....guess you could call them; bright, brighter, and brightest. You just press the little round button in center of light once for it to come on, press again to go to brighter, and a 3rd press to go to brightest setting. Im not sure of the lumes # for each intensity and i dont really care.....i just need the light for close in work like putting treestand on a tree, taking it off a tree, or field dressing a deer. All 3 intensities are plenty bright enough for my intended use, close in projects where i can have both hands free to work and still have ample light to see. Cant speak for longevity or durability yet. My only complaint, or recommendation, is to offer the orange and camo hats as a reduced price combo deal like you already do with other different color combos. I was still able to purchase both the orange and camo seperately but there are many others out there that both gun hunt (requiring by law orange hat) and archery hunt (where total camo is allowed), so the orange/camo combo makes perfect sense. Totally recommend this product....and i was not paid or given anything for this review.
