I don’t understand the bad reviews.

I just finished watching this movie like five minuted ago. I came to amazon
to see when the bluray will be released so I can purchase it.

If you loved the first two movies, you’ll love this movie. The movie made me
laugh, cry, and gasp- just like the previous two movies in this series. We find out
more about Dumbledore though many of us devoted HP readers guessed from the HP
books.

I can’t say anything specific since I don’t want to spoil it for anyone. Our favorite characters
are all there including the nifflers and the bowtruckle. All the actors especially Jude Law were fab as
in the other films. There’s so much heart in this movie. I wish Rowling would write histories (that are detailed enough to become movies) for McGonagall, Snape,
Hagrid, and etc.

Anyway, the movie was wonderful. I’m not sure why it was rated rotten on Rotten Tomatoes. I’m befuddled.
Whatever the reason, I certainly don’t think it’s fair since the film was marvelous. Frankly, I was worried
It was going to be bad because of the bad reviews. Nope. It was awesome.

I have read all the Harry Potter books to my children and seen all the movies included the Fantastic Beasts series. I did not love all the Harry Potter movies, but did like them all. With the first Fantastic Beasts movie I was delighted. It was very charming. The second film was disappointing to me. The third made a serious comeback. The balance of charm and humor mixed with dread and serious consequences felt right. Most of the serious problems both in plot and execution were overcome in part 3. The absence for most of the movie of Tina Goldstein as Newt's romantic interest made no sense to me as it did weaken the investment of the audience. Still very glad to see another very entertaining movie. Hope its enough to bring back #4 or #4 and #5. I think they could wrap it with one movie and as the box office has declined after each feature, I'm really hoping they combine #4 and #5 into one film and close the story well.

They slaughter a month we creature (that looks like doe) after she gives birth to twins. One of the babies is taken by the “bad”’wizards while the mother cries staring at her other child. THEN (as if that wasn’t enough) the baby that was taken is held tenderly as it’s throat is slit and it bleeds out, then is set down in the pool of its own baby blood. It was all so horrific and sad and didn’t need to be in the film. It happens at the beginning of the movie so I’d fast forward the first part and spare yourself the agony and brutality. It ruins the rest of the movie for me.

Still a movie that appeals to a Potterhead like me with rich details of the magical world. Some may find it a little slow moving as it showcased Grindewald’s immense power as he tried but failed in obtaining power through legitimate route. It is building towards a violent confrontation between him and the muggle world, Dumbledore (which we are looking forward to) and the rest of the wizarding world. Can’t wait for the fourth (and possibly final) movie.
