Seriously, don't bother with tomato juice. Fels is soap, it suds up fast, cuts the odor instantly, rinses out completely and washes down the drain. In 3 minutes your skunk issue is 100% solved. Once your dog is dry, you can bury your nose in its fur and smell nothing but dog fur.
PROS: Perfect skunk solution.
CONS: Your dog might like skunk odor. Apparently mine does.

PROS:
1. This smells good and reminds me of the smell of laundry when I was younger. I don't know if my mother used this, but the smell is very familiar.
2. It "melts" easily with water so that I can work it into fabric stains. The other laundry bar I have used is a lot harder and I have to use a lot of elbow grease to work the soap into the clothing.
3. It's extremely versatile. I found one of those lists of ways to use this product and have already applied at least 3 of them. (I am not recommending anything to anyone but I rubbed the bar against my skin where I felt the beginning itch of a cold sore trying to start on my upper lip. No cold sore developed...). I have used this on a small carpet stain by applying and blotting the mark clean. I super-cleaned the metal of the kitchen faucet and sprayer where it gets all gross from the hard water marks. I also made some liquid from shavings of the bar and hot water, then poured about a cup of this into the toilet bowl to soak. When I brushed and flushed the toilet, it was free of those disgusting hard-water stains that form at the waterline. And, of course, I used this on laundry.
4. The price, the price, the price. I cannot believe what this cost compared to how versatile and effective it is.
5. As I mentioned, the water here is hard. I really like that this soap works well on fabrics in spite of that.
CONS:
1. The ingredients or combination of them must be super strong because I have to use gloves if I am going to be handling this for long. It may not happen to everyone but while I was sudsing and soaking some kitchen towels, I noticed that this started to make my skin feel irritated. When I checked, I realized that the label had warned of this.
I have already grated up one bar of this to melt into hot water so I can use it on countertops. I opened one bar and but off about a 1/8 piece to use on stains. It doesn't take much if the clothes or stained area is damp enough so 1 bar of this will last a while.

This product is STRONG so I keep it in a plastic bag to keep the smell from overpowering my senses from a distance, but when I need to get stains out I just wet the bar and give it a good rub with this bar. I like the way the laundry smells after I run a load and I like how it gets out the stubborn stains without the need to use bleach.
I would be cautious however if you have any allergies to detergents or chemical cleaning agents. This stuff is very strong.

that to buy this from the UK is expensive. My first bar and introduction to this product was when I visited the USA
and brought 2 bars home, however the shipping costs as it isn't available are not cheap. one upside though is a bar lasts you forever, so I have rebought to replace as I cant live without it and a trip to USA anytime soon is highly unlikely!
