Gets better after first episode.

After you get past the 1st episode it gets better — it’s new and kind of awkward at first — no biggy. I’d like to see a 3rd commentator — perhaps people from Forged in Fire and previous winners. Every episode you should be giving at least 5k to the winner but if cash is an issue give them 1k to repair their knives.

was hoping for more craftsmanship

Was hoping for more craftsmanship, this looks very cheesy compared to forged in fire. Its more like those ultimate ninja or american warrior series with some hapless knife blade being abused thrown in.

Massive disappointment and so cheesy it hurts

Cheesy garbage. How can you pit actual knife Smith's against people who have knives made for them and call it even?

So dumb
It’s nice to see they’ve incorporated weird Travis from 2 of the forged in fire seasons, but the show is stupid. They should bring Travis over to forged in fire and put him up against Ben abbot

Fantastic
It's like Ultimate Beast Master meets Forged in Fire! There are a series of cutting challenges given to about 6 competitors each episode with the winner going on to compete in a grand championship in the final episode. There's some great Forged in Fire Alum (Especially Travis) and Goldberg & Tu Lam do a great job hosting.
Really exciting and very fun to watch, especially if you're a big fan of swords and martial arts.
