Missing 1/3 of the episodes from every season.

Bought Seasons 1-4 thinking I was getting all the episodes but nearly a third are missing. Can't believe I now have to Google the number of episodes in a show season before purchasing on Amazon to make sure I'm actually getting what the description says I'm getting. Nice work, Amazon.

Thank you Amazon for digital Futurama

I'm what they call a Futurama sleeper. I didn't even know that was a thing until Netflix stopped showing the series. Then I saw all these articles about how thousands of people fall asleep while watching Futurama. I tried other shows but after over a decade of falling asleep watching Futurama I had to buy the series on DVD. The problem I had with the DVDs is that I had to get up to change the disc. Which is a problem when you are trying to fall asleep. Now Amazon has them on digital so I can just press play and crawl into bed. I have rewatched this series so many times I've learned the alienese and translate it whenever I see it.

9 Episodes of a 13 Episode Season

I love the show, but amazon is jerking me around with this first season. Episodes 1-9 of Season 1 for sale as Season 1, with Episodes 10-13 of Season 1 listed as part of Season 2.

Very annoying to have purchased something, only to realize that they haven't given you all of what you purchased.

It's a Matt Groening cartoon

That is not the be all, end all of Futurama, by any means. There are lots of jokes and gags that range from what essentially amount to little more to dad jokes, to references that are endlessly chronicled by fans across the internet. The series is a fun romp, and a blast back to almost two decades ago that holds up pretty well. This season is where it all started, and while some comes across a bit rough it set the foundation for wonderful episodes like "The Devil's Hands Are Idle Playthings" (Season 5), "Jurassic Bark" (Season 4), "Where No Fan Has Gone Before" (season 4), among other humorous moments in the series. Season 1 shows up a bit better when you view it along the whole of series, though admittedly without some nostalgia, it might come across as a bit slow for some fans.

RIP OFF ALERT! This is NOT the Full Season!
Verified purchase
This is NOT the full season as it was aired. They've divided the original seasons into more "seasons". In other words, to get more money.

If I'd known this, I would NOT have purchased this. As it was, it was expensive enough. Broken up like this, it's WAY TOO EXPENSIVE.

Simply my favorite cartoon. Have watched it multiple times over the years. I imagine I'll watch it many more in the future.

I love more modern shows like GRAVITY FALLS and RICK AND MORTY as we'll but for replay ability FUTURAMA is still the champ on my book.

This review is for the (S01) Amazon Video version. While still only offered in SD it looks looks great.

Had not seen very many of the 1st season episodes back when I started watching it on broadcast TV years ago. Futurama has subtle humor and irony in it that casual watchers might miss.
Looking forward to getting the latter season episodes, even though the price goes up! (Loss Leader to get you hooked)
