That being said, the real prize here is that reusable jute sack, which you will notice the seller has cleverly advertised as such. The options for how you're going to reuse this bad boy are endless:
* Snack bag for your home made granola
* Travel case for your 100% all natural locally sourced merkin
* Swim cap
* Nut milk bag
* Ice crushing bag for making Moscow Mules
* Feed bag for your free range BLW toddler
I personally chose to make a clothespin bag for when I'm drying my cloth diapers. The possibilities are ENDLESS.

1. Wash 1 Cup beans in cold water. Discard "floaters"
2. Soak the beans overnight in 3 cups of water with one teaspoon of salt.
3. Strain, put in a pressure cooker (I use a Kuhn Rikon Stainless-Steel Pressure Cooker, 5 qt ). Add a fresh 3 cups of water with one teaspoon of salt. Bring pressure to first ring. Cook for 8 minutes (9 minutes for older beans). Use natural release (=take off heat & let the pressure drop slowly until it can be opened). If you feel the beans are too hard just let them stay in the hot water longer, and they are too soft cook them less next time.

AND...so easy to Sprout. I wanted to get beans that I could start sprouting and after much research, Palouse Farms presented a easy source and at a great price, too! I had almost 100% sprouting in the beans.
To sprout, just soak overnight, drain and then I leave them in a colander. I use a ceramic one, standard size.
Then set it on a plate to catch any drips, cover with a cloth, and I set it into a pantry/closet where it's dark and a stable temperature. From what I have read, the cooler it is, the longer the sprouting process takes. For me, in 24 hours, I had decent sprouting already. I gave it one more day to let them grow a little more.
Rinse and drain a couple times a day while sprouting (although I forgot to do this and they still sprouted for me with this short sprouting time)
Once sprouted, cook as normal to the consistency you want. I make a large batch, then cook and freeze some to have them handy later as we use a lot of beans weekly.
I'll try out the lentils from Palouse next, from other reviews, looks like they also are good for sprouting.
Mine sprouted easily and quickly.
Soaked ~12 hours, then put in colander with plate underneath and moist paper towels on top then, put in oven (dark in there) for germination process. I rinse them every few hours. Mine spouted in ~24 hours but, I let them go 48.
Instant Pot - About 3 inches of water over top of beans and 1/8 teas hickory liquid smoke. Then high for 20 minutes and natural release for ~15 mins before manual. Drain and rinse.
Roast 1 cup sesame seeds in big pan constantly moving until just showing signs of color change or JUST until you can smell the roast. Blend sesame seeds and ~6 Tbls canola oil into tahini with BIG POWERFUL blender.
Put sprouted, cooked chick peas in said blender with 2/3 cup FRESH squeezed lemon, 2 teas cumin, 4 teas pink sea salt, couple Tbls fresh minced garlic to taste, 1/2 teas berbere, ~1/3 cup olive oil and up to a cup of distilled or fav spring water until creamy.
Put in 2 or 3 plasticwares.
Sprinkle / garnish each with whatever floats your boat. Cover & refrigerate to let flavors blend.
Then made some flatbread.
Everyone absolutely freaked. It was all gone in half an hour with 10 people. Make a lot.
Note: Food processors, well mine, don't give me the creaminess. YOU NEED A BIG powerful blender that can handle the load. Perhaps I can find one here on Amazon because I literally smoked my 1200 watt Living Well Montel 250 dollar blender on second batch!
I liked the convenience of having a sack of dried garbanzo beans on hand for several months, but it was more expensive than buying locally. I did the math compared to local prices for canned and dried beans, and these are only slightly less expensive than than buying pre-cooked canned beans, and almost twice as much as buying Kroger dried garbanzo beans in 1 lb. packages. Unlike other reviewers, I did not find the sack appealing -- I had to keep it closed with a rubber band in between getting beans in order to keep them from spilling in my pantry.
