I'm from Wisconsin where more brandy old fashioned sweets are served up per capita than probably any other place on the planet. I saw a good review of this mix somewhere in the media and took a chance, and BOY is it good.

I just put a shot of this and two shots of good brandy over ice and that's all one needs to make this thing work. Adjust the mix for sweetness or lack of, but that's really all you need.

Each time I make one of these, I can close my eyes and teleport to some Friday night fish fry in Wisconsin where I'm on my second or third old fashioned. Terrific stuff.

I have been a fan and regular consumer of Gary's Original Old Fashioned Mix for awhile so I just had to try this new Gary's Orange Old Fashioned Mix. It is VERY GOOD. I prefer whiskey old Fashioneds and this mix makes an awesome old fashioned with whiskey. I cannot wait to try the recommended recipe by the manufacturer of mixing it with vodka. I never thought a mix of any kind could taste better than my hand muddled old fashioneds that I have been making from back in my bartending days 20+ years ago until now. Both Gary's Original and now this new Gary's Orange have exceeded my expectations and are the BEST mixes on the market. No more hand muddling for me!

My go to drink whenever i go anywhere is an old fashioned. Fewer and fewer places know how to make one properly and it is really disappointing. You almost have to go to expensive steak houses now for you to get a really good one.

This product right here makes a really great tasting final product. People that dont normally like whiskey (I use Makers Mark) will end up drinking this too once shaken in ice and you let the ice dissolve a little bit. Its 1 ounce of Whiskey to 1/2 ounce of mix or i just do 2 ounces to 1 ounce for ease of measurement. Ive ordered 3 of these so far in the last couple months.

This is a really solid mixer for a traditional old fashioned. It has the right balance of sweetness, bitters and other spicy notes to make a good drink without a lot of measuring and messing around. Add a garnish or two, and you're done. Although creating that first drink with all the usual ingredients is fun and impressive, by drinks 4-10 it gets sloppy and tedious, if you know what I mean! By then, the garnishes are long forgotten anyway, which is where the beauty of this mix shines brightly. At 1/2 oz. per drink, you have enough for 64 total beverages, so that's roughly enough for 3-4 regular bottles of your favorite bourbon or libation of choice. Enough for you and a buddy for an evening of good conversation!

I enjoy a good old fashioned but found buying all the ingredients separately tedious, especially to find the right brand and slight flavor difference into good combos. This product comes turnkey ready to go!

I do find the syrup a little dense, which is fine with a splash of water for my taste. Other combos I have found work well for my tastes is to use either 4oz of Mtn Dew or Ginger Beer with the prescribed 2oz Whiskey and 1oz mix.

Like I needed another reason to drink whiskey... I hesitated to purchase this based on its price compared to other Old Fashioned mixes I've bought. You know the adage: if it is cheaper, it must be less quality. Not so here: this Old Fashioned mix is the best I have tried. It came packaged as well as anything I've ever purchased on Amazon, and is absolutely delicious. What a please summer surprise!

I have tried the Gary's muddled old fashion mix and loved it, thought I would give this one a try. It arrived sealed and unopened as expected. However the exterior of the bottle was covered in mixer fluids dried to a tacky paste. Once that was cleaned up, I tried it with a simple whiskey to try out. I didn't like how potent the mix was in particular the cinnamon flavor. It changes the flavor of the drink from having a whiskey type taste to be more like a Fireball mixer - which I am not a fan of. A great value if you are a fireball fan, otherwise recommend the muddled product instead.

We were introduced to Gary's while visiting family in Green Bay and are happy to be able to get it through Amazon now as it is not readably available in Minnesota. I like mine with Canadian Whiskey and my wife prefers Brandy. It provides a nice smooth taste and is easy in comparison to making a traditional old fashioned that requires the mixing of multiple ingredients.
