Beyond spicing up morning fare, The Ginger People's Organic Ginger Syrup can run right into cocktail hour. It's great in gingertinis or as a flavoring in sparkling water to create a non-alcoholic beverage. Ginger Syrup is also a flavorful cooking aid. Try it as a glaze over roasted carrots, chicken, pumpkin and yams. Add it to warm water (and brandy if you please) as a soothing nightcap.

I absolutely love this syrup as an addition to my smoothies or to make my own ginger ale. It's very soothing for me and my sensitive tummy. All of my shipments have leaked but this latest one leaked about two inches of product into the bubblewrap around it. It was a super unpleasant nasty mess to unravel and of course this is NOT a cheap product so I am very unhappy. It's 5 stars for awesome flavor and 2 stars for packaging that appears to be getting worse.

Delicious syrup, inadequately sealed

Actually, I LOVE the syrup. But each of two times a bottle has been shipped to my residence, the summer heat or the elevation (4755 feet), or both, have caused the inner seal to pop, leaking syrup into the surrounding packaging. No inner seal should be that vulnerable, for food safety reasons if for no other. I hope the Ginger People company will be able to improve its sealing process to eliminate this problem.

I was gifted a bottle of this a couple years ago and it was delicious. I just finished it and wanted to get more. The current batch is horrible. When you unscrew the lid it smells like the scent they put in propane gas so that you can smell it. It tastes just like it smells. I bought some of this from another seller thinking that it was just a bad bottle but now i have 7 bottles of this horrible stuff. Other members of my house were trying to find the propane leak when i first opened it. Then we all realized it was my ginger syrup. I poured it into a container in hopes it would air out the awful smell and taste but after a month, it is about 30% less disgusting. I love Ginger People but I will never buy this again.

This is a wonderful product, but 2 of the 3 times I've ordered it, the bottle has arrived broken. Very disappointing, not to mention a STICKY MESS! The vendor really needs to improve the packing/shipping.

Almost no flavor when used on something; certainly no ginger bite

I was able to taste the ginger zip when I put a bit on a spoon. But as soon as I try to use it - on pancakes, French toast, ice cream, whatever - even a distinctive ginger-like taste is almost entirely absent, let alone any real bite like I was hoping for. I keep it in the fridge because it's expensive and I use it rarely; it does harden up/crystallize (the way honey does), but you can set it in a pan of lukewarm water or you can spoon it out with the handle end of something narrow like a parfait spoon. I will be checking reviews on other brands before considering replacing this one. Or I might make my own syrup.

Excellent - I use this for making my garlic (dip) sauce, for which I usually use Conimex Gembersiroop.
This particular one is the best replacement I have found.
Highly recommended it - the sirup (unlike most others) is nice and thick and has a great flavor.

UPDATE:
After having ordered this 4 times now in the past years, the manufacturer decided to use a different kind of bottle - which threw me off at first. The new bottle contains exactly the same product (see pictures old vs new bottle).
Still loving this ginger syrup!
