1.) Frozen, these are quite a bit 'harder' than more processed alternatives (i.e.: more 'ice'-like in consistency); this may warrant letting them thaw slightly before indulging (if you prefer a softer, more fruit-like texture). However, I can never do that, as once I start, I just take smaller bites (due to the hardness) and finish them off before they thaw (because I love the taste to much to wait, lol).
2.) These do taste more like an actual seedless watermelon (which I find slightly less sweet than seeded ones), right down to the occasional white casing typical of seedless watermelons being present. Though I prefer the taste of a seeded watermelon to a seedless, its not a deal breaker for me, and I get why these make more sense in a production environment.
3.) The addition of a small amount of agave is hardly noticeable and probably does improve the sweetness just enough to make these taste better than without, but keep them healthier and less sweet than more processed, less natural versions. If you want simple and natural, compare this product's ingredient list to most other alternatives and you will see where this really stands out.
Bottom line, if you want simple, healthy and are willing to compromise a bit of the texture and taste that require a lot of additives and additional processing and to pay a slightly higher price, this is a great choice.
If buying for children who are used to those other sweeter, more processed options, it may be a harder sell than if you are making this available to kids who have not been spoiled already by sugary fruitsicles and don't really care about the 'logic' behind the healthier choices. Adults should not have this issue if they care; though there are differences, the sicles are tasty enough in a noticeably good way that those who do appreciate the logic will mostly be very happy with them.
