These lights are awesome! I got them for $60 with a $10 off promo so I couldn’t pass these up. That’s half price of the Phillip Hue light bars. I really didn’t see many reviews on these anywhere online but I still took the gamble and I think it paid off. Set up was easy for me and my set up. Plenty of cable length for my vesa mount set up. Colors a great and vibrant.

(Although when I first fired these up there was some flickering after changing colors. I thought they may have been faulty but after leaving them on for a bit it was fine, and still are. I’m guessing they just needed to be calibrated in a way. So don’t freak out if it happens in the beginning.)

Instructions are clear but honestly they’re pretty self explanatory. I didn’t use any of the stands or brackets it came with. I didn’t want to use adhesive in the back of my monitors so I used some zip ties on the vesa mount to hold them.

All in all for the price you can’t go wrong. I also bought Govee light strips for the bottom of my desk and they both use the Govee app which is really awesome too! I love being able to use one app to control everything. Just make sure you get the ones with the app feature. I bought another set of Govee lights last year for my TV which don’t use the app but they still work great. Honestly I think Govee is the best brand out there for affordable RGB lights. Not pricey like Phillip hues but not cheap like those unbranded ones that these “sellers” get and slap their name on them even though they’re all the same.

What can I say, for half the price of whatever other brand, and the amount of features brightness customization these have, you can not go wrong! Govee is the only LED brand I would recommend and I have been using LEDs on TVs and desk before it was even a thing, I tried them all. You can not go wrong with Govee! Superior customer service and quality products. Great job Govee, can’t wait to see what they come up with next, maybe a beam?

5 stars because no one else on the market can match govee on price or features. A rival manufacturer in it's space just doesn't exist. I was going to get the govee model that used led strips that attach around the back of your display but, noticed this one. I prefer this setup better, it is cleaner and you don't have to attach the LED's to your TV. they have their own stands with the choice of attaching them to your display if you like. setting up is pretty straight forward. just make sure that your home network is or has a 2.4ghz signal (mine didn't) or you will have problems. I was able to create a 2.4ghz hotspot with my PC and get everything working. There is a slight delay when attempting to match the display with a lot of action on the screen but, for the price, it is not that much of a big issue unless you are someone that is REALLY bothered by things like that. I uploaded a short video of some Disney/star wars advertisement bumpers (I hope that it is ok, I cannot see them having a heart attack over an ad but, we'll see I guess) and you can see the color transitions and even a tiny delay. For under a 80.00 bucks though, you cannot go wrong, you cannot even get one part of a Phillips Hue ambient lighting system for that price. and Phillips doesn't work properly with 4k displays when I last checked. No regrets with the Govee,

These are really cool in theory. I bought these and the TV light strip together. I wanted these in the back of the room and the others behind the TV. Everything was easy to install, but I found the camera to be difficult to get accurate colors. It picks up the whites in the TV as blue and shine blue. I'll keep messing with it but maybe it's just the nature of the camera sensor used.

Yes they’re not not as pricey as the Philips bars but now I know why. When watching a movie the split bar mode doesn’t work so you see same color on left and right sides of the screen (bad!!!). Also the colors from TV screen to what is displayed is not accurate most times. And yes, I have calibrated these bars many times. Just average bars to me.

Update: GOVEE replaced the lightbars and the replacement product is working AWESOME. There is a bit of lag between the colors on the screen and the lamps but it is very slightly. For the price, I am very happy but even more from the customer service offered by Claire. Thank you again.

This product is outstanding for the price! i always loved philips hue products, but when i found these on amazon and the price they offered for a discount as well, then i said lets give it a try! When i got them they were super easy to instal and set up with my alexa app! they blew me away instantly when i started them up! really brings watching movies and gameplay to the next level! i highly recommend them to anyone for they are compatible and futured dated for use with any tv or monitor out there! Compré esta barra de luz porque estaba en oferta; sinceramente al inicio supuse que la iba terminar devolviendo porque pensé que sería muy similar a tiras de luz LED que puedo conseguir a 400 pesos. Graaaaave error jaja. Desde que la comencé a utilizar me fascinó y mi experiencia con películas en mi TV así como videojuegos mejoró al 100 %. Comparto mi opinión con la comunidad de Amazon para ver si le sirve de algo a quien esté interesad@ en esta barra.

***APARIENCIA DEL PRODUCTO***

En la caja vino la barra de LED con su cámara, dos barras laterales de luz, base para fijar las dos barras laterales, esponjitas adhesivas para auxiliar en la configuración de la barra por medio del app y su instructivo. El producto especifica que el tamaño máximo de la TV o monitor donde se usará la barra es de 43 pulgadas pero la configuré y funciona bien con mi TV OLED de 48 pulgadas. NO recomiendo que se utilice la barra con una TV más grande ya que al momento de realizar la configuración la cámara apenas pudo detectar las orillas de mi TV dado a su tamaño. En cuanto al suministro de energía, conecté la salida de USB que viene de la cámara a mi TV. En caso de que tú TV o monitor no cuente con una entrada de USB puedes utilizar un cubito cargador.
Al montar las barras laterales de luz existe la opción de montarlas en sus bases incluidas que a su vez puedes poner sobre tu escritorio o mueble de TV. También existe la opción de fijar las barras con una goma adhesiva (también incluida) directamente a la parte trasera del monitor/TV. Para mantener el espacio donde tengo mi TV libre de cables y desorden, opté por pegar las barras a mi TV y organizar los cables para que no se vean regados. Solamente tomé la precaución de centrar bien las barras ya que si las pegas y despegas el adhesivo perderá su efectividad y se caerán las barras.
En cuanto a la cámara será un poco problemático fijarla a las TVs que son muy delgadas ya que no se podrá apoyar correctamente. Al terminar de configurarlas es crucial mantener la cámara en la misma posición de cuando la configuraste porque si la mueves te verás en la necesidad de volverla a calibrar ya que no detectará la imagen de tu TV/monitor correctamente.
para solucionar este problema le pegué un pequeño adhesivo a la parte trasera de la cámara para que se mantenga fija a la TV y ya no se mueva.
En cuanto a la apariencia de la barra y la cámara sinceramente no me molesta que la cámara esté visible. He leído comentarios en internet que lo pintan como algo bastante negativo pero ya después de varios días de tenerla instalada dejé de notar la presencia de la cámara jeje.

***USO Y CONFIGURACIÓN DE LAS BARRAS***

Configurar la barra fue bastante sencillo. Básicamente el proceso consiste de fijar las gomitas color naranjas a las orillas de la TV tal y como lo indica el manual. Al fijar las gomitas a la pantalla se debe de tener cuidado de ponerles muuuuuuy poquita presión para que al momento de despegarlas no vayan a dejar residuos adhesivos en la pantalla de tu TV o monitor. Posterior a ese se debe de descargar el app de Govee, registrarte para una cuenta y seguir las indicaciones de la aplicación. Al terminar tendrás una amplia selección de efectos que le puedes aplicar a tus luces y así como personalizar su comportamiento al iluminarse. Sinceramente hay muchísimas opciones que puedes configurar; no entraré en detalle, pero es indispensable que para que le saques el máximo provecho a tus luces, te familiarices a buen grado con todas las opciones que la aplicación te ofrece.
En cuanto a la experiencia de la barra con mi TV…UFFFF!
Tener esta barra de luces al ver películas realmente eleva la experiencia al siguiente nivel. Imagina tu cuarto oscuro, unas buenas bocinas conectadas a tu TV y esta barra; la experiencia que tendrás rebasará lo que llegues a tener en muchos cines. Los colores son brillantes y muy vivos, las barras poseen un excelente campo de iluminación. A pesar que tengo una TV de mayor tamaño al recomendado por el fabricante las barras cubren perfectamente el tamaño de mi TV y de hecho el área cubierta sale sobrando. Antes solía prender una luz de noche al ver mi TV con las luces apagadas para evitar la fatiga visual pero esta barra de luces ayuda a que lo que se muestre en tu TV, resalte aún más y así como ayudar a evitar la fatiga visual.
La demora de tiempo en la que la barra de luces reacciona a lo que se muestra en la TV es muuuy poco perceptible. Después de atinarle bien al proceso de configuración (en cuanto al posicionamiento de las esponjitas naranjas que debes de utilizar) descubrí que este tiempo de demora a cierto grado depende de que tan bien hayas realizado la configuración. Es importante también recordar que con poquito que se llegue a mover la cámara se deberá de volver a calibrar el equipo para que su desempeño continúe siendo el óptimo.

Después de más de un mes estoy extremadamente contento con mi compra. Admito que es una compra totalmente innecesaria y es más un pequeño lujo que nada. No obstante, la experiencia que la barra de luces aportará a tus sesiones de videojuegos o al ver películas será segunda a ninguna.
Si tienes un dinerito extra y quieres elevar tu experiencia al ver películas o con tus videojuegos recomiendo esta barra al 100%. Gracias por leer mi opinión, espero y le haya servido de algo a alguien.

I’m a broke college student who’s also really tech savvy. So when I saw the philips hue gradient light strip trending on TikTok, I knew I’d be getting something like this. I found this after months of searching and it does not disappoint. It has so many modes, music, video, scenes, etc and they are all spectacular with a huge array of colors. Only issue would be that it’s go-to white in video mode (the one where it displays the colors on the screen), is more yellow, and that’s a little displeasing.
