So when they came, I thought this is crazy, they are so small. Considering I am a really big lady, I figured the calorie counts are low enough, I can just eat 2 at a time. Surprisingly, these fill me up, though! Plus, you add veggies or whatever for sides and you're good to go. I was very very surprised how good these taste! I find myself craving them sometimes. Not only that, I lost 5 pounds in about 4 days... Now if only I can stick to it haha! I have NOT had one meal yet that I dislike. They all are super easy to make, you take it out of the box, lift up the tab to vent, put it back in the box and nuke for 1 minute.. That easy and no refrigeration needed! The have pairing ideas on the carton for other dish ideas which is really cool. I haven't tried any yet but will eventually. (IE: Mix your beef stroganoff with mushroom risotto and you get mushroom stroganoff!) Yes, that would mean two meals, but you could always eat half and save the rest, or if you have family they can eat the other half. This is great for someone like me who doesn't like to cook and wants to lose weight. The ONLY addition I do to some meals is add some cheese and/or garlic salt. I can't stand food without salt, and yes, they do have salt but I don't want to eat it if it doesn't taste salty. Have to pick and choose your battles here, people! Give them a shot... Not sure how really healthy they are, but at my size losing weight is important and they actually taste good to me and fill me up, so it's a win win.

As of the date of this review (10/11/19), HMR offers 17 different dinners. (See their website). I've tried 16 of them, and liked all except: Mushroom Risotto and Pasta Fagioli were too spicy. Didn't care for the taste of: Whole Grain Medley with Chicken. Didn't try the Lentil Stew yet.
Yes, the meals are small. They come in a microwavable tray that is 3.75" x 5.25". To be stored at room temp. These are NOT frozen. All are under 300 calories, with the highest calorie count being Chicken with Barbecue Sauce at 280 calories, but it has 19 gms of protein.
The meals alone are less than satisfying, though. It is important to buy their protein shakes and have 2-3 shakes each day. They taste good, and keep you satiated (feeling full - satisfied.) Also, I recommend supplementing your meal with either a salad or cooked vegetable.
I think the price for these meals is reasonable, and to me, they taste better than the frozen diet meals from the supermarket.

I love the convenience of these meals and the nutritional stats. Don’t be thinking it’s so small. The trick is you “ beef” them up with sides of green vegetables or a half baked potato or modest amounts of any vegetable really. The centerpiece of satisfaction for me is that a hot meal entree is ready in about 90 seconds from MW to plate. I’m even counting time here to get the sides of vegetables together. The price is wonderful, compared to Nutrisystem, for instance. The variety is quite good, and what is really nice is if you don’t care for anything but one or two of their offerings, you can likely find a stack of just the entree you like without having to buy the ones you don’t. They are also not super salty. Of course you can add to them as much seasoning as you like, and I don’t believe it will hurt the taste. No refrigeration is necessary, shelf life is long. I like it from just the point of view of emergency food as well.

All flavors except the mac and cheese were acceptable. Lets face it, this stuff is packaged so it can be stored without freezing which is a huge plus. But because of that, it must be prepared differently and that affects flavor. I did not purchase for just flavor but for convenience purposes. Was trying them out for possible emergency rations. With a bit of doctoring up, most are not bad tasting with the exception of mac and cheese. There was enough food to feel satisfied after eating one. My husband often eats one for lunch because it is easy to take to work. He doesn’t have to keep it cold and there is an available microwave to heat it up. Very convenient!
