Ordered this specifically for my kid for Halloween--thought he'd get a huge kick out of tomato blood--nope, just normal Ketchup in a normal Heinz squeeze bottle--

Maybe don't show the seasonal picture if you're not going to actually ship the seasonal product.

How do you write a review about ketchup? I'm not really sure. I consider myself to be a ketchup snob. I turn my nose up at Hunts and only would use French's or Heinz until seeds started appearing in French's which I just couldn't stand. Now I exclusively use Heinz Ketchup.

I like purchasing Heinz Ketchup on Amazon because it's one of those items that never seems to make it onto the grocery list. We always run out in between grocery trips, despite buying 4-6 bottles at a time. Our house uses Heinz Ketchup daily, so we should buy more at a time but we rarely do.

I prefer the 20 ounce bottles of Heinz Ketchup because they are the upside down bottles. This means that it's ready to pour when you want ketchup. This is especially useful for me because I have Fibromyalgia and have a hard time squeezing bottles of shampoo and other products including other brands of ketchup.

Taste wise, Heinz is the best. It tastes great on everything: onion rings, french fries, potato wedges, loaded potato skins, chicken nuggets, chicken patties, cheeseburgers, macaroni and cheese, and even scrambled eggs...yes I'm one of those weird people that puts ketchup on everything.

I've tried the "healthier" version of Heinz and it was terrible, I'll definitely stick to the original. Do I like the fact that it contains high fructose corn syrup? Not really, but I think that's what makes it taste so dang good. It doesn't have a strong vinegar taste like other brands, goes down smooth, and doesn't cause heartburn.

Ingredients: Tomato Concentrate made from Red Ripe Tomatoes; Distilled Vinegar; High Fructose Corn Syrup; Corn Syrup; Salt; Spice; Onion Powder; and Natural Flavoring.

Each 1 tablespoon serving contains: 0 grams of Fat; 0 milligrams of Cholesterol; 160 milligrams of Sodium; 5 grams of Total Carbohydrates; 0 grams of Dietary Fiber; 4 grams of Sugar; 0 grams of Protein; 2% Vitamin A; 2% Vitamin C; 0% Iron; and 0% Calcium.

Most of the restaurants that our household frequents also use Heinz Ketchup. Those that don't we either don't visit or we take our own ketchup, yes we are that picky about ketchup. Despite my dozens of allergies there is nothing in Heinz Ketchup that I am allergic to and that's always a huge bonus as other brands break me out.

When I purchased it, it clearly was a picture of the seasonal "Tomato Blood" edition. I paid extra thinking I was getting that. I received a standard issue ketchup that I cant return or get a refund. Terrible false advertising.

Amazon Loss and a Win

I should own stock in ketchup and jelly. Those are two of the staples needed in this house for survival on an daily basis. My teen consumes it with practically every meal so I worried about not having it when they shut down school and sent us home. When everyone lost their mind two weeks ago and started hoarding anything and everything, ketchup was something we were low on and could not find. So thankfully, ketchup was found on Amazon pantry and I ordered 2 bottles. They arrived last week and I happily placed them in the pantry. Amazon came through, or so I thought. I opened one of the two bottles this evening and to my dismay the bottle was NOT sealed. The lid on the indside had ketchup stains where it wasn't sealed. So I had to throw that bottle out because my mom and grandma forewarned me when I was a kid to NEVER comsume anything that wasn't properly sealed. Thankfully, I had ordered two bottles. The second bottle was sealed properly. These aren't big bottles so I am hoping that we can find a bottle before this one runs out. If you order this, check that it has a proper seal BEFORE you put it in your pantry.

I ordered this when the world went crazy with Corona, and I couldn’t find my usual brand (Hunt’s) anywhere. I thought it would be ok. “Ketchup is ketchup,” as my Husband likes to say... I’m sorry, but NOPE. I quit using Heinz several years ago and was quickly reminded as to why.
The bottle I received was very, very watery and no amount of shaking seemed to help. I just don’t understand why a company with their level of success always seems to put a bottle in my hand that tastes like watered down tomato sauce...

You know, there has been a lot said about this sauce already. No need for me to come on here and hash out the details all over again. I just wanted to say thank you to Heinz. If it wasn't for this sauce I would have starved to death long ago.
Never really liked tasting my food that much. I don't know why. But fries and stuffing and sweet corn and sometimes steak. Hamburgers and you name it, there's just something missing until you pour tomato sauce all over it.
I'm happy when I have this nearby. When the wifey asks if I need the salt and I can tell her I don't need it because I have the sauce. I'm happy when you squeeze it and it forms a delicious thin line of sauce all he way around the plate.
But I'm sad for people who look at it and think it's gross. Imagine living like that, if you can. A joyless, sauceless tasting plain food sort of life.
