Shows a man (predator) manipulating a women attorney (victim). The same feminist narrative, men are bad and women are strong and honest. The attorney does work with a man (Morgan Freeman) attorney, but he is portrayed as a drunk. Most of the men in the movie are violent and beating up the attorney and Morgan. The whole military structure is portrayed as a corrupt man dominated structure that must be dismantled and the women attorney is doing it all by herself because she is strong and virtuous and can do no wrong. The only decent man is instantly shown sleeping with the attorneys sister, i.e. a womanizer. Don't support this indoctrination that men and women are at odds, we have traditionally worked together to deal with life. support positive movies, do your research before supporting these anti male movies that is destroying the male population in this country so women have to become lesbians.

About a quarter of the way in I was ready to quit. So I zoomed to the almost end and the action I saw there was too inexplicable (based on the start). I had to watch the middle stuff. Should have known with such a good cast that this was a great movie. Suspense up the ying yang. So rent it. That would be my advice.

I've been a great fan of Ashley Judd & Morgan Freeman for a long time. I was thrilled to see them teamed up again after KISS THE GIRLS! The movie is an action/drama thst showcases their talents! If you haven't seen it, WATCH IT! You won't be sorty!

I purchased this show to add to my Morgan Freeman collection without knowing anything about it. I was thinking it might be along the lines of Kiss the Girls but it is not. Morgan Freeman plays an alcoholic ex military lawyer that helps Ashley Judd, a civiliian lawyer, weave her way through the military system so that she can defend her husband who has been charged with a heinous military crime from previous years while he was enlisted. I love Morgan Freeman and also love Ashley Judd but honestly didn't think I was going to love the subject matter....I was completely surprised. The plot has all kinds of twists and turns and although in the end I guessed the surprise it didn't stop me from jumping off the sofa. Once again they have proven to be a dynamic combination giving depth and life to their characters. I highly recommend it.

Edge of your seat suspense. Ashley Judd turns in the best performance since Double Jeopardy and Morgan Freeman proves that
he is versatile in any role he chooses. One must not overlook the amazing performance of James Caviezel (Person of Interest), without whom the entire movie would have never worked.

Ashley Judd and Morgan Freeman make a great pair..in movies only. The ot twist was unexpected and well-played. Morgan Freeman was great in this, and in all his films

It's just ok. Judd gives a wooden performance but honestly, I feel that way about her performances in general. The actor who played the husband is also typically wooden, imho. The plot was decent although I figured out "the truth" soon after he was arrested. Pretty much a cookie-cutter there i.e. not very original. The best part was Morgan Freeman of course. He brings dignity and depth to the film.

Every once in a while, there is a combination of actors who deliver a story that can only be described as "perfect". Paul Newman and Robert Redford are an example. Morgan Freeman and Ashley Judd, especially in the two "Alex Cross" character movies fall into that category. The story, to be sure, is first rate - and the twists and turns are deliciously entertaining - but without the deliver of these two fine actors, some of the story's "edge" may have been lost. Also there are no "love scenes" between them - only an emerging mutual high regard and sincere respect for the essence of each of the characters portrayed. This is one of those "don't miss this film" films. I'll be watching this movie, over, and over - you can bet on it.
