Installation was easy and straightforward, and despite the fact I already had a saddlebag installed on my bike, which was blocking the whole length of the area where the camera was supposed to be installed on, I was able to find a way to install it under the saddle, using the very useful extra adjustable knobs they provided on the camera’s bracket (see pictures). I also recommend using zip-ties instead of the nice soft cable ties provided, which will a better hold of the camera’s cable, while making the installation easier.
Screen is bright right away from factory, and the video can easily be seen while biking. But there are some picture settings (including brightness) that can still be adjusted if needed. So far, and even under the strong California’s sun, I didn’t have any issue with the screen’s image.
Keep in mind though that the camera has a wide angle. It’s great to see everything coming at you from the rear while biking, but in same time some object (like cars) can appears small in the screen until they are very close to you.
Overall, I think that this digital rear mirror system works as intended, while giving my bike a more futuristic look. It’s also great that the screen is easily removable, to avoid getting it stolen when parking the bike.
