Tries to be a "Saw" torture porn movie but ends up torturing the audience instead

I just could not sit through the whole thing. It comes across as a wannabe horror / psychological thriller along the lines of those Saw movies. The opening aerial shot is reminiscent of The Shining's opening scene of the car driving up long winding roads to the remote hotel in mountains. But in this movie it just doesn't have the same impact. This felt like a very poorly acted micro-budget film with inexperienced actors and production crew that were hired off Craigslist or maybe just a bunch of high school friend's project. I give props to the filmmakers for completing their production but the script was not very good to begin with and needed more work before they started shooting it. Nice try but this just didn't hold my attention. The Saw movies did the whole kidnapped, locked in a room and forced to do extreme things type of story much better. As for the big twist at the end -- I couldn't even make it through the pissing scene. Just a bad look altogether right there. Good luck next time.

Can someone explain to me what Tartarus is? I thought there would be reference to it in the movie, but I never saw it. I didn't care much for the movie, but that's just my taste. It seemed contrived. It didn't seem like these people were real. They were just 'playing a part'. No one seemed comfortable in their role. It struck me as completely unreal that ONE officer showed up to save everyone. Where was his back up? No ambulances, he should have been in charge, but Chris was. That place should have been swarming with cops. How did he know where they were? Why in the world, when the journalist KNEW what Tony was, had proof in her hands, she would still drive out there at night, alone and not tell anyone where she was going. It was a good start, needs polish.

Somebody needs acting lessons.

The trouble is that the main character can't act. From there, everything goes down hill. The plot has some serious holes and -- due to the subject matter -- leaves you feeling kind of dirty. Fairly soon into the movie, I knew how it was going to end.

BUT ... there was one little twist to that ending that merited this one star review.

I don't know WHERE these ratings are coming from! This was one of the worse written and acted movies ever. This must have been the writer's fantasy, because only one guy was the "giver" of the abuse. The ending didn't even make sense.

It looks like a really bad student film and I couldn't even get to the ending, that's just how bad it was. I'm really suspicious of all of the good reviews, clearly, they are lying.

The viewer suffers more than any of the characters in the movie.

I lasted about half way thru this film. I simply just can't imagine anything above a 1 star rating. It's not the plot that is unbelievable, it's the acting and the script. Everyone is going to react differently if they find themselves in this situation, but I'm just not going with what happened. As for the ending being a surprise. I don't think so.

Horrible acting, horrible writing

Horrible acting, horrible writing, stupid film. Not worth the celluloid and certainly not your time. 30 mentally twisted teenagers gave this more stars than it deserves.

"Lack of Character Development: The Movie"

This movie was complete garbage. I'm convinced a 4th grader wrote the plot. Total trash and complete waste of time. I feel embarrassed for the crappy actors who are forever immortalized as completely sucking.
