First of all a personal recommendation
If you have not knowledge of electrical work save yourself a big headache and a lot of trouble and let an expert do it for you.
I have been doing automation for a few years now and this is, so far, the best product for the price.
they are fairly easy to install, no more difficult than a normal smart switch anyway. The price is very good compared to other brand that do the exactly the same thing.
The integration is very easy and the echo device detects the switch as soon it connects the your network. Of course first you will have to set up a kasa account and link it to your Alexa account.
Another think you have to make sure is that you have the neutral wire (usually white) on the box. Because these and all the smart switches are actually relays and they need to be powered at all times and the only way that works if they have both hot and neutral in the box.
As you can see from the pictures, if you install them correctly they fit and look good in a 3 gang box.
of course the inside of the box is pretty crowded do to all the cables and the fact that the switch has a bigger box for the wifi and relay but other than that this is one of my favorite switches so far.
As a matter of fact i purchased 4 more.
I just installed them a few days ago and i will definitely update this review in the near future

I am now up to 19 switches and 2 dimmers and everything works great
I have a few minor complaints
The face plates are difficult to mount flash to the wall.
I am OCD about certain things and I actually had to modify the plates to make them fit the way I liked them
But that is just me
The other kind on minor i don’t know if is the skill enabled in Alexa, the Alexa app itself or what but all my devices are duplicated and it drives me nuts. I already went through all the troubleshooting and they still there. Hopefully it will be fixed

I like the switches, but Tplink fails when it comes to features. I bought 12 of these to setup around the house to save electricity. Lights are always left on in my house, so I started installing and setting up the switches. First 3 were good, install them setup a smart action for auto off, if light is turned on turn off after 15min. I get to the fourth one and realized they limit you to 3 active smart actions! So you can only do an auto off for 3 switches. Returned these and bought Treatlife switches, they have many more features and I have all my switches on an auto-off

5.0 out of 5 stars Great for home automation when you live with techno-phobes.

I've been installing these all over the house to replace standard "decora" switches. They look so much like the others that they don't stand out. This is a great option for home automation. I have them set up through IFTTT -- the ones connected to my outside (and some of my inside) lights turn off at sunrise and then turn back on again at sunset.
I never come home to a dark home. Best of all, they make home automation less scary to my spouse, who does not really want to shout commands at an Echo. I'm a 54-year-old woman, and I install them in under 10 minutes. The most confusing part of the process is that my house serve panel is written in very faint pencil, in German.
I tried putting smart bulbs in several lamps, but my spouse would turn them off instead of using Echo or the app, so I installed these in areas where I have fixtures, and in everything else I now have a HUE system with dimmer switches on the wall so that my spouse can have buttons to push.
One note: You MUST have a white wire in the junction box to connect to. Otherwise, the won't work.
I've found the TP-Link brand to be quite reliable, and I hope they stay around. They seem to be less buggy than others, and I like not having to have a hub.

5.0 out of 5 stars Love these switches!

We have HS200 switches in various places around the house, and they're great! Just be sure your existing wiring has the white 'neutral' wire before ordering. Most houses built in the last 30 years or so should have this, but it doesn't hurt to double check it before ordering switches you can't use. Other than that, installation is a breeze, and connecting to your WiFi is simple with the Kasa app on your phone.

I have seen others asking about fan control with these switches - we've had a switch on our bedroom fan for over a year now, and it works great! Zero issues with the fan, other than you can't change speeds with it - you have to use the pull chain on the actual fan to change speeds. We leave ours on high all the time, so it's not a big deal for us. Being able to turn the fan on or off in the middle of the night without getting up is a game changer!

We initially went with TP-Link because they use WiFi and don't require a hub. We eventually got a SmartThings hub to control our front door deadbolt, and there are 3rd party addons that will allow all of your TP-Link switches and things to be managed in SmartThings. Other than the initial device setup when we add a switch, I never have to use Kasa. It's a fine app, but having to control my Z-Wave stuff in SmartThings and TP-Link things in Kasa got old. This brings all device control into one app, which I love.

Controlling any TP-Link switches, outlets, or bulbs with Alexa is a breeze to set up as well, and very handy. Never had any issues with this, and it's super convenient to tell Alexa to turn on the lights when you walk in a room with your hands full, or tell Alexa to make sure everything is off when leaving the house.

My only complaint in about 2 years of using these switches was when our old wireless router died - I replaced the router and even though I used the same SSID, password, and authentication type on the new router, the switches couldn't seem to connect to it. My only choice was to go around and hard reset every switch, then reconnect them to the new network. We have about 8 HS200's scattered around the house, and it only took a minute or two per switch, so it wasn't a big deal. I knew that I would probably have to do this, but was hoping that with the new network set up exactly the same, that they might just jump on and do okay.

All in all, these are fantastic switches, and I have zero complaints with them. I'm looking at getting some of the newer 3-way switches for my hall lights, and also thinking about switching some of our light switches to the HS220 dimmers, but we don't have dimmable LEDs yet, so that's a project for another time.

I have had no issue with the switches. For the people complaining that the standards covers dont fit probably should not be messing with the wiring Anyways. Simply put the switch in the wall. Put some tension on it with the screws then place cover over it. Pull cover off Adjust if needed then tighten screws then put cover back on. installing dose require some drywall removal to get them to sit flush. Wiring is easy even if you don't have instructions. Hot neutral and ground. Hard to mess that up. get a multimeter. You have to have a neutral wire make sure you do before you buy. With a 3 way some homes may have a white traveler wire this is not a neutral.

5.0 out of 5 stars Work Great - I do have a helpful tip.

I like these switches a lot. The only issue I had was when it was time for Alexa to recognize the name I assigned to the switches and turn them on and off via voice command. The comment back to me was she couldn’t find any switch named xxxxxx. Everything went so perfect during installation, the KASA app setup and Alexa configuration. The Alexa app even stated that I could now announce turn on/off commands. I found zero fixes on Kasa, online or anywhere else that solved my issue until I realized what the problem was. I have a wi-fi range extender in my house and its not a mesh node. So, I set my switches up on my main wi-fi network and found that somehow my Amazon Echo-Alexa was connected to a range extender node and not my main wi-fi. With this configuration my Alexa was not finding my switches since they were on separate wi-fi networks. So except for “my problem” with switch 1 installation the rest went perfectly. the Kasa app is great, setting up timers was a breeze and operating lights and switches when not at home is very easy.

5.0 out of 5 stars AWESOME smart switches

LOVE these smart switches. Kasa app is super easy to use, these are super easy to install, easy to hook into Alexa app, and are beautiful looking switches at a very reasonable price compared to what else is on the market. I love that there is a very faint blue circle that glows when the light switch is off so you can find it in the dark (or know that it is off). When the switch is hooked up to wifi, you don't see the wifi signal at all, it's only when there is an issue with it or before you link to wifi.

Note that if you are going to change your wifi name or password, try and do it before you hook these up because you have to delete all of them in Kasa/Alexa and rehook them up. Had that problem.

We have 11 TP-Link smart switches throughout our home - dimmers, 3-way, and switches - and they all work great. We utilize the scheduled timer for the garage lights and front entry light to match up with sunrise/sunset. We also have a couple outside under our patio for backyard spotlights that don't have switches indoors so we can now turn them on/off with Alexa from indoors without running new lines inside to a switch. We did have an electrician hook these up because we were getting other work done, but they seem simple enough to do yourself.

Note that these are very snow white and our normal switches weren't quite as white, and we decided to buy switch covers that matched the majority of our switches (not quite as snow white). It still doesn't look bad and is close enough that no one probably notices except me. Lutron is the brand we have for everything else and it is close enough. We were replacing every switch and cover in the house anyway, so we got the ones that were close enough.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent switches, install upside down for uniformity

Overall I’m impressed with the Kasa WiFi Light Switches. I had originally jumped on the Wemo bandwagon but have had some issues with them lately and the cost of each switch just doesn’t make sense anymore with Kasa being so much cheaper and having great reviews.

The installation is easy and all around the same as the wemo ones. The App is good and operates exactly as it should.

The one thing I did do differently, and you can see it in the picture, is I installed the switch upside down. I did this because the row of switches is off most of the time and I did not like that these Kasa switches look like they’re always “on” because of the way the rocker is positioned. By installing them upside down, now they always look like they’re “off” and the row of switches looks more uniform. Yeah, probably some OCD there but it makes me happy. 😊 (I do the same thing on 3-way switches in order for both to be in the “off” position when they’re off.)

5.0 out of 5 stars WiFi light switch for Google Home to add home automation
Reviewed in the United States on November 14, 2021

Installed this light in my office so I can have automated control of it with Google Home. Installation involves first turning off the circuit breaker so you don't get electrocuted. Then remove the old switch and connect the wires on the new switch to the wires in your box. There are 4 wires you need to connect including the white neutral wire. As for the black hot wire, there are 2 black wires coming from the switch. It doesn't matter which one you use as input to the switch and which one is output. Either way will work. Lastly is the ground wire to connect.

Once everything is connected, turn the circuit breaker back on, and the switch LED will flash amber and green for you to set it up with the Kasa Smart app. After you set it up in the Kasa app and confirm it's working, then you can add it in the Google Home app. Using Google voice, you can control the light by speaking 'Hey Google, turn on office light'.

Wi!! F£Ñ
5.0 out of 5 stars Responsiveness is up to par and is Alexa ready!
Reviewed in the United States on June 8, 2022

Kasa is one of the best smart home company I enjoy buying products from. Over the past few years, they've really up their game. I have both smart light switches and outlet plugs from them and the reasons I love them are their responsiveness, their automatically connection with Alexa and automation. First off, the installation is a breeze and of course safety comes first when dealing with electricity and would recommend getting a professional to do it for you if you are uncomfortable. But once you switch the power off, the instructions on the app show you exactly how to connect the wires and set up the switch with your wifi. The moment you done setting the switch, it works great, turning on/off the lights is within milliseconds and always respond. As for Alexa, the moment you set up the WiFi, your alexa speaker will automatically find the switch and ask you if you want to set up this new device and you can go to the Alexa app to customize it even more. Finally, I have several lamps and outdoor lights around my house that I want to turn on automatically at sunset and turn off at a certain time of the night. It is a pain every day to have to remember to go to each switch to turn on and off the lamps/lights. With the Kasa app, this is no longer an issue. You can customize each switch and outlet to turn on/off at a specific time and day. My neighbor always ask me how am I able to turn on all my outdoor lights including the christmas lights all at once and turn off all at once at a certain time and my secret is Kasa. My only concerns with their products is some of them don't work with HomeKit which I don't really mind because I use a different hub for my smart home but if you use HomeKit, be aware of that.

Final verdict.....Recommendation Guaranteeeeeeeed!

5.0 out of 5 stars Good quality switches that just WORK
Reviewed in the United States on January 18, 2021

I ordered these switches after making the mistake of ordering a different brand that were a bit less expensive with a special package deal. Even though the other brand (TreatLife) was also well reviewed, I had nothing but issues with them and there was no tech support to speak of.

I installed these switches and they are WONDERFUL. The 3-way switches have a mix of wire nut pigtails and screw terminals. The single pole switches are all wire nut connections. I prefer the screw terminals since they are cleaner and take up less space in the junction box. This is important since the switches are bigger than normal switches and real estate in the box can get very crowded.

The only hit against Kasa is that the switches come with ZERO electrical documentation in the box. I didn't need it, but I can see how that would confuse some people. I believe that the installation instructions are all in the app, but that does not seem to be as handy as having them on paper. Not a big deal though.

Hooking them up and replacing normal switches was a breeze. I did 3 different circuits in under 30 minutes. Two circuits were 3-way overhead lights and one was a single-pole switch for a ceiling fan. Pulled out the old switches, wired in these new smart switches and powered on the breaker. They worked on the first try. This should always be the case but I had the bad experience with the other brand where the 3-way switches did not work properly. It was very refreshing having these work so well.

A few notes:
1) If you are installing the 3-way switches, you do NOT need to replace both switches on the circuit. That is why these switches need a neutral wire. It keeps them powered even when the lights are off, and thus act like any other 3-way switch. Just replace one of them.
2) You must have a neutral wire in the junction box. These switches will not work without a neutral wire. If you're not sure, remove the switch plate and look inside. If you can't tell, consult an electrician.

Next step was to link with the Kasa app. I already had the Kasa app since I have an outdoor Kasa smart plug. I just went through the process of adding the switches and within 2 minutes the switch was connected to the Kasa app, Google Home, and Alexa. This was again in stark contrast to the TreatLife switches which did not connect well with WiFi. Kasa is a breeze and a joy to set up!

Sure Kasa equipment may be a little more expensive than the other brands but they WORK and don't give me any headaches. That is worth the price. From now on it is all Kasa brand for me.
