My cockatiel loves this stuff! I'm writing this review on her behalf because she's not good with the keyboard and is a poor speller. I buy a few jars each time so she'll never run out! I also put these oat groats in a separate bowl in the cage so she won't have to dig up her main feeding bowl for the oat groats. It just makes for a neater cage that way. Every morning I empty the dish out and put out a fresh portion. The husks are big and fluffy so it's easier to just totally replace the oat groats every morning. I also think that if you want to economize big time, you can collect the husks every morning from your bird's dish and when you have collected enough, you can make oatmeal for your own consumption. (Just kidding on the last bit!)

My bird loves oat groats. I've been giving them to him for years and he's come to expect a small amount daily or he gets pretty fussy. I ordered my oat groats like normal from Amazon but somehow ended up with two containers of Orange Flavored Treat instead. I didn't notice until I popped open one of them open & noticed they certainly weren't oat groats. Making matters worse my bird doesn't like the Orange Flavored Treats at all. He refuses to eat them & stamped his little bird foot in protest.
Kaytee does offer the best Oat Groats. I've tried lots of brands & the little guy loves Kaytee.
