This is very nice, well made, great size, and made of solid wood instead of composite junk. A couple of our chairs are a little wobbly but not a huge deal to us. The wood can get a little scratched/dented with the right force, but I think (?) that would happen with any solid wood piece. It looks great in our room - small enough to not take up a huge amount of space, but big enough to play on and have a couple of kids sit at it. We love it. It looks nice - not like a cheap kid's table - which was important to us. It looks like nice furniture. And the chairs are solid.
We use it mostly for play, but occasionally as the "kid's table" when we have family over for a meal because we don't have enough space at the big table. It works great for that too and cleans up easily. My 5.5 yr old nephew, who is admittedly huge for his age, is a bit too big to sit in the chairs at it, so he ends up kneeling on the floor when he uses it. But I think that's a big exception. He just can't sit with his knees under it. Our 8-yr old neighbor sits at it just fine to color. In my opinion, this should last awhile, even if you have to sit at it sideways, like I (as an adult) obviously have to do.
