The smell of this product is SO STRONG. When it came and we opened it, the smell was so awful that we put it in our garage to let it air out for FOUR weeks. We tried to assemble it in the house after that time and several family members started to get sick from the smell. Finally we put it together OUTSIDE and the smell (even outside) was so awful it made me sick. It this didn’t take me forever to put it together I would definitely be returning it. I am genuinely worried that whatever is on this wood could be causing real harm to my son. I plan to wash it with soap and hose it down numerous times and see if it helps. If it doesn’t I will just end up throwing it out. It’s a shame because this is so cute and I want to love it so bad.
It took a while to put it together. There are a lot of pieces. Some of the holes didn’t line up and you need to pull on some of the panels to make it fit. I wouldn’t recommend this item. I really don’t feel safe for it to be around the kids with that ever chemical is on it.

It does look like the picture, but it's hard to put together in the fact that the pieces are not sanded, and one of pieces was split in two. Luckily, my husband is handy and he was able to fix the problem pieces. The finish is also not sealed, so it will discolor over time, and be ruined by weather. I would not rebuy this, or recommend it to someone.

It took us a while to assemble it, the instructions were not great and had to really rely on photos for assembly. Once it’s assembled it’s quite a lovely set for the kids. It's under a covered patio right now so we don't have to use the umbrella but if we move it to the yard then the umbrella will come in handy. It's just like our adult section but in kid sizes. The boys love it and will most likely use it all winter under the covered patio. It has a really nice finish on it and the cushions are a tad stuff but I'm sure they will be loosen up with kid usage.

This is absolutely adorable. We bought the Kidcraft double chaise Cabana 2 years ago and the wood for this sectional is the same as the wood for the cabana. It can't be left outside all winter and it is best to treat the wood because it is unfinished and will wear in the winter, or rain and sun. Our Cabana didn't last as long as it could have because we didn't treat the wood. So, with this sectional, we treated it right away to give it a little more protection. Otherwise it dries out in the sun and the wood deteriorates. It's a nice little chunk of money so you might as well protect the investment.

This sectional and ottoman are fairly solid and look great. Definitely something that can be used indoors as well for a reading nook or just a sitting area. Absolutely adorable.

KidKraft Octagon Table looks so nice when set up in the backyard. This is a well made, high quality product and I love that it’s wood, not plastic. The umbrella folds down and is removable for easy storage. My toddler was happy to upgrade from his flimsy plastic table to this more mature looking picnic table. I have been looking at all the other cute matching pieces that go with this set and have my eyes set on some for holiday presents. This isn’t an eye sore to look at in the yard, like many kids items are…it’s super cute. Assembly was fairly easy, but my husband did it and I did not. Directions not the easiest to follow, so need someone sorta handy.

Highly recommend!
