Perfect for kiddos that like to help but constant supervision is a must!
Reviewed in the United States on October 24, 2019
I ended up purchasing 3 different kitchen helper kids stools on Amazon to decide which one to keep. All three of them had design flaws that ultimately make them a bit unsafe. There is no doubt that you should be right beside your little one when they are using any of the products pictured. I chose to keep the KidzWerks tower because it has raised edges so my grandson’s foot cannot slip off the sides. Also, the dowel in the front keeps him from slipping forward. The opening on the back allows him to climb up on his own but does make it possible for him to slip backwards. Again, none of these towers are accident proof but at least I don’t have to listen to him saying “Up Up Please” anymore 😂

We have purchased different models from other brands in the past with our older son if you get what I’m saying you will see that for one single child I purchased multiple one in the past. They were cheap, fragile and unsafe. This one feels different and it has last more than the first one I got for my oldest son when he was a toddler. Time will tell if this was worth the money. I will update this review at the 6 month and 12 months mark.

Buyers be aware!!!!! If your little is a little tornado you need to pay close attention to them when using this step. So far I have found what it could easily become a safety hazard or minimum a concern. If you look at the design it has this cut out sections on the side. This is my son’s favorite spot to climb and get on the counters and even the stovetop (thank God it was off and cold). That’s one of my concerns about this. The other one is that if you have a little thick bone child with some weight he could easily flip this to the side and get seriously hurt. Just keep a close eye with your baby when using this steps.

This product is extremely easy to assemble. It doesn’t feel cheap wood at all. Pretty stable and solid all around. My 17 month old son got up and down first try no problems. I do recommend screwing the round bar on the rear part and leaving it there until your child is old enough to use the steps without it.

Assembly only took about 15 minutes and was pretty easy. The instructions aren't very well designed, but it's a simple structure and was easy enough to figure out. You are basically just screwing the pieces of wood together with philips heads screws, no hex wrench involved. The wood seems of high quality, and it's relatively heavy once assembled. There were no defects with my unit, and everything was packaged well to avoid damage. My one piece of advice would be to not use a power drill during assembly because the screws can strip the wood fairly easily.
The tower looks good, and it's the right size for my 2 year old. I like that the standing height adjusts, but the step itself doesn't adjust, meaning that when you place the standing base to the highest level for your little one, the step is likely going to be too far for them to reach.
I don't have any other towers to compare this to, but one aspect I didn't like is that my 2 year old immediately figured out how to remove the rear railing, and there is no way to secure it without modification. I may try to tape or screw it to avoid it becoming a weapon against our 6 month old.
Another concern of mine is that the cut-outs on the sides allow for rambunctious kids to climb up above the standing height, and could possibly tip the unit. While the tower seems to have plenty of side-to-side stability, a cantilevered child could push that to the limit.
Lastly, a minor nitpick on the beechwood color - the screw covers included are quite a bit darker than the wood. I ended up leaving them off because I preferred the look of the screws and I was concerned about the choking hazard of the screw covers.

I bought this Kidwerks tower instead of what seemed like the most popular of the category, the Learning Tower by Little Partners. I preferred the design and size of this tower, and it cost almost half of the other one. We've had it assembled and in use for a day now, so I figured I'd share my thoughts.

LOVE IT! At first my wife and I were apprehensive to purchase due to the previous 1* review mentioning a smell with the tower. We went ahead and made the purchase based on the simple yet modern design, it’s the best looking tower on Amazon! And great news, we opened the package – there was no odor. Instead, we put it together and started to use immediately!! We love this standing tower and use it with our 5 YEAR OLD!! So it’s great for ages even up to 5, and our son is not the smallest 5 year old 😊 Strongly recommended!!

We were looking for a not-too-bulky learning tower for my 15 month old, and this did not disappoint! We have a small U shaped kitchen, and this fits perfect. He's able to climb up and down it pretty easily.
It is very sturdy, even when he likes to lunge side to side, or try to reach over the side. I was also easy to put together.
The only small things I would change:
The side cutouts: make the bottom cut diagonal or the sides solid because my son likes to climb on it . I think we are going to put a cover over the cutouts it.
The back bar: Its easily removable, and my son likes to pull it up, making it so he almost fell out the back. We solved this by putting a screw through the side so its fixed. Although it would be nice in the future to remove this bar, having the option with pre-drilled holes and extra screws would be nice.
Besides that, we are happy we purchased this!
I will add pictures when I get them.

We just started using this for our grandson to stand at the counter with us to do activities. First off the platform they stand on, if not screwed into the side ,slips and slides and could cause serious injury if not attached. We screwed it in to stabilize it. Two the openings are way too big! This item should come with something to hold child in. Our grandson turned around and was holding onto the bar yesterday and slipped and fell through the large hole and seriously scraped his whole back and spine on the Sharp wood edge. IT is going to the dump!!!
