Love this pancake mix, but the price is outrageous here on Amazon. I found out after I purchased this box here that Target sells it for 1/3 of the price. The pancake mix is great for anyone watching their calories and looking to lose weight. I'm on Weight Watchers and I've loved having this mix to make waffles with.

I would highly suggest adding a little more water than the instructions say - not much, just a little. Maybe as little as a teaspoon extra per 1/4 cup of mix, otherwise the batter is really thick and doesn't spread. Other than that these pancakes are great. They're thick, flavorful, fluffy. I've had them with fruit, bacon, syrup, and sausages. You cannot go wrong with this mix. In fact, I bought a new pantry container because I plan on having this mix on hand at all times now, it's that good.

Great pancakes! They cook up beautifully too. I used the extra high protein recipe on the box by using milk and an egg instead of water. I did add an extra 2-3 tablespoons of the mix to make the batter and pancakes a little thicker. The directions on the box do note that you can add more liquid for thinner or less liquid for thicker pancakes. Pretty much just common sense. Use real maple syrup too and you don’t feel guilty for eating a nice filling short stack with some ham on the side for breakfast. I’m looking forward to trying the muffin recipe on the box too. This is definitely my new boxed mix to keep on hand.

I use this flour to make muffins in a mug, works great but to make it interesting you can put all kinds of topping but by themselves they lack sweetness and muffin can come out a little dry.
I mix these with other muffins in a mug that are too sweet. I also use milk or cold coffee instead of water and a squirt of something gooey like Hershey's syrup.

1 minute in micro and boom there it is, breakfast you will actually like to eat now or later cold.

My suggestion with cakes in a mug is if you want to make it affordable, tasty and not so bad for you? Ok not the perfect breakfast but EXPERIMENT by adding an egg, milk, healthy toppings, etc

A neighbor put us on to this brand about two years ago. We tried them and would never go back to regular brands again. They are so tasty with water, and better with milk instead of water and add an egg too for the most protein. We gradually fed them to 10 grand kids and now all of them and their parents are Kodiak Kakes fans. We love to put blueberries in the batter or sliced strawberries on top instead of syrup. If you try them, that's all you will eat forevermore.

I thought I was buying a pack of boxes. This is a terrible price for a great product! You can get it for around $5.50 at the grocery store and <$5.00 at Wal-mart. But this is the only pancake mix I will buy. Make it with an egg and milk instead of water and it is filling and nutritious. I even add Chia seeds and applesauce sometimes. Great product!
