Lay’s Salt and Vinegar Flavored Potato Chips is one of those products that I really like but putting it into words isn’t quite so easy. I’ve always thought that regular Lay’s Potato Chips have the best taste and crisp texture of all regular chips available.
While shopping for some chips to serve with chopped BBQ Pork Sandwiches, I saw the Lay’s Salt and Vinegar for the first time and thought how they might go well with BBQ pork. It was a perfect blend of flavors ! Nearly all BBQ Sauces contain vinegar but can sometimes be too sweet. These Salt and Vinegar Chips add just enough tangy taste to mellow out sauce that might be too sweet for some tastebuds, and I’ve tried them with a wide variety of sandwich or soup combinations with great results.
But they certainly don’t have to be served with anything else because they’re great right out of the bag. I purchase them in one ounce single serving bags by the 40 count box. That way they’re as fresh as possible each time I pop open a new bag. The whole family enjoys them with a fresh shipment delivered every month.

Bad quality control. Bad seals on bags. Stale chips

Wow. Don't know how it made it off the factory line. But pretty bad qa/qc. My wife complained that I bought old chips. I said how do I buy old chips. It's sent by Amazon. She said it was stale. I said ok, maybe a bag bursted and it got stale. But no. I went through the whole box. And I got 5-6 out of each box I ordered. They did a bad job sealing the bags. Mainly noticed the sour cream and onions. All had bad seals that we're all ripped. How did they allow this to come off the line and into boxes. And how do they not notice they're not air tight when they load up the box.

Have until August 14th for the “freshness date”. 40 count is a little extreme to be this short dated in my opinion and still be sent to regular sale/subscription customers. Bought these for a party and a number of them were under filled (see picture). I understand it’s cheaper because it’s about two months from expiration but NOT including product basically renders that a moot point. Thanks for embarrassing me in front of friends. Just go buy this at a warehouse store of super market and save yourself the anguish.
