About the Author
Before topping multiple bestseller lists—including those of the New York Times, USA Today, and the Wall Street Journal—Elisabeth Naughton taught middle school science. A rabid reader, she soon discovered she had a knack for creating stories with a chemistry of their own. The spark turned into a flame, and Naughton now writes full-time. Besides topping bestseller lists, her books have been nominated for some of the industry’s most prestigious awards, such as the RITA® and Golden Heart Awards from Romance Writers of America, the Australian Romance Reader Awards, and the Golden Leaf Award. When not dreaming up new stories, Naughton can be found spending time with her husband and three children in their western Oregon home.

What a difference with Lethal Consequences! From the first pages you are thrown into the action and not let go up until very end. The character development is improved and we get to see what kind of person Landon is, besides his physical appearance and skills, and what made him the man he is now. And Olivia looks like a real person. Like someone who can easily be your neighbor or your kids' teacher. The chemistry between those two is hot and explosive.
There was another aspect in the book that appealed to me and it was the relationship between Olivia and her older sister Eve. I can very much relate to what Olivia was feeling being smothered by her sister's overprotectiveness.
Overall, this book is simple amazing. And now I can say I can't want for the next one!
Landon Miller an assassin for the DIA is currently working off book for Aegis and eager to return to the US. Months earlier he had rescued fellow Aegis operative, Eve Wolfe's sister. Landon broke his own rules when he stayed in touch with Olivia Wolf after the rescue. He could not help but admire the strength and courage she showed during and after her rescue. Landon knows that nothing can ever come of this attraction, because of his occupation. In Landon's mind he is not good enough for anyone.
Olivia, bored and not happy with her work as a teacher, takes a leave of absence and travels to surprise Landon on his last night in Barcelona. But Olivia is the one that gets the surprise. Not only does she find another women in Landon's hotel room, she is in the wrong place at the wrong time and is abducted again along with Landon. His past has caught up with him and unfortunately, Olivia is now in the cross hairs of terrorists who have a lethal bio-toxin.
Can Landon and Olivia overcome the dangers and stay alive long enough to find their HEA? Set back and enjoy the action and suspense as the operatives of Aegis, along with Landon and Olivia race against time to defeat the terrorists and find an antidote.
Received an ARC from NetGalley and publisher for an honest review
In the months since Book One, Landon and Olivia have been texting. When she learns he has a week between his last job for Aegis and returning to the DIA, she takes a leave of absence and hops a plane for Barcelona, planning to surprise him. But both are surprised when they are kidnapped by a terrorist cell wanting information about a former op. Landon has been trained as an assassin and he doesn't do relationships or get involved emotionally. Something about Olivia is different, though, and protecting her is his entire focus ......that, and escaping, then keeping her alive.

There is constant twists and turns which added to the heightened suspense and made this a real page turner.
I found that I was rooting for both Landon and Olivia throughout the book, we get to see reoccurring characters, and I love what we get to see of Jake & Marley :-)
I can always tell if I like a book or not by the way I feel afterwards....either move on and forget straight away or suffer a book hangover like I did with this one, I finished the book wanting more of the Aegis team!
